Imperial Equestria Continuity, An Invite to Collaboration · 1:52am Jun 24th, 2015
Imperial Equestria. My MLP crossover magnus opus. The longest thing I have ever yet written and worldbuilt for. Gathering dust and ice crystals for about two years now. Mountains of excuses, setbacks, procrastination, mind changing. Blarg. Wort.
Time to do something about that.
Right now, I'm looking at three things to get out before this week is over and Sunday steamrolls in. That would be the chapter "Under an Imperial Moon's" rewritten version, the story's primary prologue, and the prelude chapter of Imperial Equestria's first story Arc. These set the stage for fully revamped universe and story; bigger, better, less shoddily written 
More Luna-centric, because hell yeah!
Those three will be all for now, but they'll become a launch pad of sorts/staging area for later towards the end of the year to get this colossus of a project off the ground again.
But wait, there's more! I have an additional announcement.
You recall how this titan of a story's been gathering dust for two years now? Notice how I distinguish "story" from "universe?" Well believe it or not, the universe itself has been steadily growing in that timespan even as my own writing styles have evolved. The crossover AU's timeline now encompasses roughly 15,000,000 years of galactic history spread out over six whole parts with a seventh on the way, half of the six being over 80% or more fleshed out. There's even location lists, character lists, dialogue and terminal text, lore notes, etc. All that material, and so little time to make use of it, which is where you (potentially) come in.
Everything has been moved to Gdocs not just for the purposes of organization and preservation, but also for potential collaboration. Anyone who has enjoyed IE and has been waiting patiently for an ungodly amount of time for an update or the rewrite can get the next best thing: working with Imperial Equestria universe itself!
If anyone is interested in collaborating or using any of these materials, I strongly encourage you to PM me ASAP and I'll give you the details. Also, damn is this universe in need of some good artwork, or at least some cover art.
Before I go, I'd like to give special thanks to ThatBronyWithAutism for his continued support on the Imperial Equestria project. Without him this whole thing would probably have been dead in the water a long time ago.

3175892 Alright. Working knowledge of the Halo series is like the bare minimum for getting in the loop, as the timeline on Gdocs and accompanying lore notes really provide all the information about Imperial Equestria one could really need to know.
I haven't even read the story, but I'm really tempted to try my hand at this. I have Halo knowledge since I play those games, but I'm not sure if I have the ability to make this as great as you want it to be.
I sort of have the same issue with wanting to rewrite and revise Halo: The Foreshadowing Dream. Don't get me wrong at all, you were very helpful with it and it was a pretty good story
; but it wasn't soon until I found some things a bit off about it that I was completely unable to expand off of it for a sequel, and then a third installment
. I also should've known there was already a Pelican that was made for slipspace travel... a Condor
.
I guess I also felt that it wasn't very original for a plotline, but that's kind of hard to avoid since the franchise is mainly focused on the Human-Covenant War, so perhaps I shouldn't be discouraged by that
. Still, I know I could've done a little better than before. I'm not sure if the admins of the site allow revised work without some precautions

3175971 You can revise an existing story all you want, so long as you don't try to use the revised chapters and post them as a separate story - which will fail moderation every time if they're aware.
