I've come to a decision regarding the Spardan Tournament.
I'm going to delay any decision regarding how to handle it.
The reason I set Applejack's schooling career on a delay for a spin off story was because I wasn't up to doing the research for it. The same is the case here.
So writing the Spardan Tournament will be delayed until after I write "Apple Far From the Tree". That way, I'll be able to include teams from DWMA, Youkai Academy, and Kuou Academy, as well as have time to research to write any other teams that might be included.

Fair enough mate. If you don't feel confident in something it's best to wait until you have more info. That's completely understandable. Besides, it will be all the more epic later because of the wait.

I'm fine with this. You've always kept up with our obscene standards, outputting incredible chapters to two stories each day, rotating between them every day of the week. You have been writing nonstop for us, and I'm shocked you don't have Carpal Tunnel syndrome yet.
You deserve a break, and you can have as much time as you need for this. ^_^

This is exactly it. Especially since you're including a large number of characters from different series. I was honestly expecting the next chapter of this to be delayed by afew weeks to give time for research; simply delaying the arc instead is a solid move with easily understood motives.

I thank you for realizing the work you would half to do to bring each team justice and butting it off. I would rather wait for over a year for a great story then a few days for a rushed badly work out story. Take your time and enjoy your research!
Could you give a list of teams?
I would like to see from where they are and what mangas/animes/games they are from.

At the the tournament (currently at the start of DMC2 in the story) you might want at least one of the Big Three shounen from the last decade (Naruto, Bleach, One Piece), and the Z Fighters will likely show up whether you like it or not. And last but not least, Team Dark Star, Ream Technicolour, Team Dark Knight...

None of those (except Bleach, for which several team variants have already been submitted) are viable for the Spardan Tournament.
They aren't from Earth (DBZ takes place in a different Earth) in the present era (Naruto takes place in the distant past). Also, no teams from my other stories are viable.
And on a more specific note, the point of this blog was to indicate not to discuss the tournament until after "Apple Far From the Tree" had been published and completed.

Three simple questions.

Also, I'll keep it generic to make sure you've got loads of wriggle-room should you want these guys/girls to actually show up. I understand some mangas are unsuitable, but you can more-or-less get anyone to appear if you want, thanks to common tropes.
1) Most shounen have at least one character or organisation who knows way, way more than they let on or even should be capable of, and they're used to know stuff if there's an official crossover, usually because they're "keeping an eye on possible enemies". In could be the local mad scientist, the local equivalent of the World Government or the school council. In MLP: FiM, it's Celestia. Using them to spring this sort of thing on the main characters is usually how crossovers go, if they don't just arbitrarily meet like in the DBZ/OnePiece/Toriko crossover.
2) Almost all battle shounen have dimensional abilities, usually to travel or access some sort of world of spirits or demons. These be modified for accessing Sparda's version of Hell, often by the dudes in answer 1.
3) Why? Self-improvement, if nothing else. Always becoming better just because they want to get better. Facing off against ever-better enemies is how these characters operate.
If you want more personal reasons, Luffy or Goku or similar entering a tournament just to see what opponents are there is entirely in character for them. If there's a possibility of learning how to better face a type of foe he might encounter, Ichigo or Zoro would do it. For Toriko or any other big eater, it's if there's decent food. Naruto, if it'll look good on his CV and help him become Hokage. Believe-it-ttebayo! ;)
Kamina would do it just to espouse his manly determination, and look damn good doing so. XD
These are just some ideas to get the juices flowing. As always, it's your story, tell it how you like! If you're only only choosing one of the Big Three, Bleach does fit the best, but you can get the others in if you want. Whether it's worth wading through 400+ episodes of each manga is debatable, though.

I honestly have no idea why you're referring to them as "The Big Three" (don't explain), but the reason Bleach is viable is because it could conceivably take place in the same world as Devil May Cry.
That's the ruling. If you can make a justification for an anime to take place in the same world and time period as DMC, it's valid for team submission...when that submission opens again.

One, you're not supposed to post teams until I post a blog saying I'm getting back to the Spardan Tournament.
Two, when that time comes, you're supposed to post what anime it's from as well, since my anime knowledge is very esoteric relative what everyone seems to assume 'everyone knows'. (Yes, even if you post a team of Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, and Gohan, say that it's Dragon Ball Z (or GT, or Abridged, or whatever)). Operate on the assumption I have no idea what you're talking about, but just post the anime name.

I once made an info mistake in my character's backstory because I was close but not quite to 100 perecenting the game. Found out one of the character becomes a sorta co-ruler that adeventures around and advises the emporer on the state of the world and it's nations.
