Summer School and Summer Project · 6:36pm Jun 21st, 2015
I am sorry if I alarmed anybody from my last post. It was just me being weird, and I do not want people to misinterpret it as a possible internet suicide note.
Now lets get on to the actual news.
I failed Math, which means that in order to get my credit, I have to take summer school. To be frank, I do not mind this. As long as I do not have to be taught by my regular math teacher, I am fine with it (she was the worst teacher I have had in recent memory). I do not have any confirmation on how long the course will be, but it ranges from two weeks to four. If it's two, then that is awesome.
Hey! I found an actual idea! And I actually really like it this time around! I am making this my summer project, but I do not plan on finishing it this season. I have finally gotten around to the swing of things, and many ideas are already swarming inside my brain (wish I had a flyswatter up in there). I'm expecting to release the first chapter this week! Yes, the first thing I have actually published since May!
As to what it is about? Well, it is a post-apocalyptic story. Yeah, I know, very original. But this is not about some genocidal nuclear campaign or mutated death monsters.
It's a bit of a weird concept, but the main character is a stallion who collects the last screams from dead ponies' corpses.
Yeah.
You might be thinking to yourself, "Well, this is going to be the darkest story Riffma- erm...Flying Fantasy Horse has ever written! God, his new name is stupid..."
Well, no. I actually want to make it beautiful. As crazy as that sounds.
The story I have in my head right now reminds me of indie films that go off the beaten path. I want this story to be very odd with the most bizarre of premises, but interesting enough to keep reading. I want people to close the tab after completing the entire story and kind of just stare out the window and think for a little bit. I do not want to change minds (this is fan fiction, after all), but I want to make some sort of impact, I think I now possess the skills to make this happen, and the ability to make the process fun as well, and you will see what I mean at the end of the week.
Until then, I will work on it, and hopefully it will become the kind of success I think it will be.
Also, I am looking for some cover art to adorn the story page alongside the (presently) two line description. If any of you want to help, PM me and we will discuss it.
Thanks!
