Season 5, Episode 10, "Princess Spike" Is The WORST Episode of FiM. · 3:35am Jun 21st, 2015
Derpy, mate, there's a far worse episode than Slice of Life now. This episode is the absolute WORST since Rainbow Falls! Almost NOTHING ABOUT IT WORKS! The comedy? Flat. The characters? Aside from Fancy Pants, completely awful. Moral? Interesting, but gets ruined by the bullshit ending. It is ungodly contrived. Yes, more contrived than Vinyl having a dubstep car, because that was at least amusing to me. This is flat-out NOT CARING. At least the only problem with A. Most Wanted was that it was boring! Fucking Hell season 5, you were doing so bloody well until now! Because I'm feeling evil, have this:

Well every show is gonna have a few godawful episodes........... Least FiM's are spaced out.
This one royally pissed me off. I really wish spike would get some good character progression for once. It's like all he exists for is taking out the trash and repeating the same personal mistakes. This episode was pretty bad.

I enjoyed this episode for the background characters.
To be perfectly honest, I think the best episode this season so far was the Discord episode.
I've watched that episode a million times and it never gets old.
A close second would be the griffon episode.
And a closer third (although I am not sure about it's re-watch-ability) is Slice of Life (AKA the fan episode).
All of the other episodes...I don't know.
They aren't bad. Far from being bad. They are all very entertaining,
But they don't have a re-watch-ability factor like the episodes in season 4, which in my opinion has been the best season so far.
I went back and tried to watch seasons one and two for a comparison and found that I actually have trouble watching them because they don't have the same character development or interest as in later seasons.
So for me, best seasons so far have been four, three, and five.
But five's position might change if we get some better episodes as time goes on.

I agree with you. This chapter really runs on the idiocy of every character involved and it was almost literally a punch in the nuts of every Spike fan, Johnny Cage style.

3167917 I can definitely see your point, trust me. Princess Spike is definitely second worst. I perceived SoL to be horrendous, and for that reason, it's still the worst. You perceived SoL to be a great episode, and so the position of "worst" was left unfilled.
This episode is still horrible, though.
3168302 While I respect your opinion, consider this: In Slice of Life, even if you hate it, it didn't derail any character development for the main characters. PS makes Cadence a fool, Spike an annoying little tyrant, and Twilight ignorant. The only saving grace of the episode was Fancy Pants proving once again that he is an awesome guy.

I actually don't think this episode was THAT bad.
It IS this season's third weakest episode, but I still like it more than Appleoosa's Most Wanted and the Lost Treasure of Griffonstone.
It was at least funnier than those for me.

The tone of Griffonstone felt... off to me somehow.
I didn't really care about what happened to the town.
And, despite knowing a little bit more about Gilda's past, she's still one of my least favorite characters.

But then again, I feel that every episode of the show is good (well, except for Griffon the Brush-Off, which I find to be just okay), since they all have at least something new to offer.
I disagree, the worst Episode of MLP is Party Pooped (which I didn't even consider an Episode of the Series), but Princess Spike was also pretty bad
