    Yay or Nay Clop Scene?

Title is pretty self explanatory. I'm debating if I want to do full throttle clop scenes, but not a clopfic. Never a straight clopfic. Thoughts?

    It's been a minute

Hey everyone, not going to lie, it's been a good while. I really feel like I just needed a bit of time to myself. It may sound weird, but always having people asking for a new chapter when you're just completely at a writing impasse really stressed me out. Writing was fun, because I did it for me, but it started to feel like I was writing for a quota.

    I'm leaving

I've been putting this off for awhile, but I am finally leaving the Brony fandom. It's not for any trivial reason, but instead, I just feel as though I need to move on with my life. I have recently enrolled in college, and need to dedicate all my time to my schooling. To be blunt, it is very unlikely that I will be returning. It is also very unlikely I will finish many of my stories, as I simply

    A Dragon's Flame Controversy

Let me start by saying, if you're not a fan of politics or power struggles, odds are you're not going to like this story. If you're here just for the Spilight shipping, you're going to be doing quite a bit of chapter skipping. Since I feel this story will strike up a good deal of controversy, let me go ahead and explain a few things before they blow up.

A Dragon's Flame Controversy · 3:47am Jun 14th, 2015

Let me start by saying, if you're not a fan of politics or power struggles, odds are you're not going to like this story. If you're here just for the Spilight shipping, you're going to be doing quite a bit of chapter skipping. Since I feel this story will strike up a good deal of controversy, let me go ahead and explain a few things before they blow up.

The following could be considered a light spoiler, as it only explains the plot of the first part (with four of five more parts to follow) a little more. Essentially, look at this as a review of a tv show or movie without story ruining spoilers. With that disclaimer, let's begin.

The story "A Dragon's Flame" is set in the near future, after a series of dragon on pony murders, sparked by an area of Equestrian claimed land that has held a sacred importance to many dragons, leaves a deep cultural divide between the two races. Being the benevolent monarch that she is, Celestia tries to maintain peace between the two races, but is also obligated to protect her citizens. She allows for stricter regulations for the border area in which the attacks took place, including the use of the royal guard, as a means to prevent any further clashes; however this plan quickly backfires leaving many of the royal peace keepers dead. Many equestrians call for war to avenge this event, but with both Equestria and the dragon empire of Infernia condemning these actions (though the Infernian government refuses to act against it's own people) her hands are tied. If she were to use military force to "take care" of the issue, any presence of the Royal Guard in Infernia could spark a war between the two nations potentially leaving them both in ruins.

With the blood of hundreds spilled, and ponies everywhere calling for equal blood from the dragons, Celestia finds her kingdom beginning to turn on her with many calling her a "coward" or "traitor" to the Equine race. Seen as the perfect political opportunity, many far right parties begin to aries, calling for the removal to Celestia from power and the creation of a "pure" Equestria. At first these small fringe groups are not seen as a threat, but after the Royal Guard massacre, their popularity sky rocketed; however one party in particular is seen as Celestia's greatest threat. The Equestrian Nationalist Party, spearheaded by an ultra right wing leader whose impassioned speeches, and at times, whit and charm has lead many of these small parties to join his own. Within a year, this new leader has over half of the Equestrian population on his side, and, if necessary, has more than enough loyal to him to bring about the bloodiest revolutions in Equestria's history. Now Celestia has no choice but to listen to his demands. Either that or have her own guard turn on her, when she is forced to give the order to kill their own people. The choice is simple; give in, or witness thousands perish when her capitol is burned to the ground with the flames of revolution.
