    One final thump

Hey guys, once again I owe you all a huge apology for my lack of updates to my current story. A lot has happened these past years it's been neglected and I genuinely feel bad for letting things get this bad. I still love MLP: FiM as a show, and I still very much love writing stories based around that show, but unfortunately my negligence and the passing of some unfortunate events have seen my

    ......Thump?......

What's up guys, again, so sorry for my lengthy absence. I would normally blame my chronic laziness, but this time it's actually due to an important job position taking up almost all my time. I've been rattling around with story ideas and character development in my free time and have gotten to a place I'm pretty happy with and plan on re-reigniting Faith and Fire as soon as possible. Thank you

This is a promotional blog entry trying to catch the interest of any soon-to-be Halo 5 players that may be reading. There is now a Halo 5 company with a heavy MLP theme and is currently recruiting, feel free to enlist if you wish and I'm sure your application will be at least considered. See you in the field, Spartans!

Rage!..........RAAAAEEEGG!!!! · 2:26am Jun 6th, 2015

OH HELL NO! I sure as hell did not write a well thought-out wall of text on a very heavy subject matter for nothing! You bet my power-armoured behind I'm putting this crap down somewhere, and this sure-as-hell looks like the place to do it! Sorry for the frustration and the unessecary-ness of this blog, just didn't want this all to be for nothing.

Anyway, what follows is my response to a post on the TCB group on the subject of the 'Genocide' people say occures in many TCB stories. Once again, sorry, I understand there is little context, this is really just for me.

-Looks about the thread, seeing the flaming wreckage, broken bodies and collosal mushroom cloud in the distance. Decides to don power armour-
Well this place looks like fun! :pinkiehappy: The thing I think everyone is forgetting when reading Chatoyances' statements is that this subject, especially in such fictional context, is subject to extreme levels of personal perspective. No two people are going to read all this and conclude to an completely identical opinion. Some of us will agree with some/most of it, others will disagree with some/most of it, and all at a variety of intensities. It seems like almost everyone commenting is somehow utterly convinced they are 'right' and anyone opposing their opinion is automatically 'wrong' by default. On this subject, all I gotta say is this:

Noone's right. Or wrong. About anything. Ever. At least not 100%.

Considering this I'd like everyone to just consider the opposing view you might encounter on this topic. They might be right, maybe wrong, but either way neither you or them or the smartest person on earth will be 100% right one way or another, especially about such an obscure subject like this.

-Deep breath-

Sorry. Anyway, my two bits on the whole 'genocide' thing. For me, this is a genocide on Celestias' part considering she is in direct control of the barriers expansion and advancement (At least she is to my knowledge). Now, genocide is a fairly common occurrence on our little blue planet, really it's a part of the natural way of life on earth. A species grows, excels, grows stagnant, is exceeded by a superior mutation and is extinguished over a more or less lengthy period of time. That's life, not really any more ways to go about it (But then again, I am not a very smart man :rainbowderp:). So to all those flailing around when the subject of genocide comes up as if it is a prelude for the anti-christ to rise from a river of blood, just chill a sec and think on what it all really means. To me, genocide is just a chapter in the ever-repeating story of evolution (Not counting such things like ethnic cleansing and the like. I in no way support such things, and neither should any healthy-minded human being).

However....HOWEVER! This all is only considering the world as we know it today. Funnily enough, I'm more than okay with the idea of a new variant, or mutation, of human climbing to planetary (Or cosmic, depending on the time-scale) superiority. However these changes occur over a significantly lengthy period of time, and normally a plethora of psychological and social changes occur before any noticeable physical ones do, meaning a species (Ours in this case), experiences an evolutionary 'update' over hundreds, perhaps thousands of years. TCB fiction highlights this subject very clearly, and sorta shoves it in your face a little, but that's alright, I can take a story with a heavy subject any day. But I could never, EVER, consider the 'solutions' provided in this story from our impending doom (Fabricated by a 'goddess') as any kind of good or kindness. Not entirely anyway.

I get the earth in TCB is dying/dead. Last to starve are the first to suffocate and the like. But forcing this sudden change upon an entire species (Even if it does save them in more ways than they can conceive) just seems very wrong, very self-indulgent on Celestias' part. All in all, for me, Celestias' sudden, forceful intervention comes across, as my good friend Dr. Malcolm would say, the rape of the natural world. Even if the result of her actions is ultimately 'benevolent' (And this is heavily subject to personal perspective) the act in itself is an offensive, arrogant and almost violent one (Although passively violent if anything). Great, now I'm thinking about dinosaurs. God, I love dinosaurs. Velociraptors are awesome....Screeee~

Sorry again. Anyway, in conclusion, even if man is doomed to die, either by a sudden and violent mode of extinction or the gradual grind of becoming evolutionary obsolete, no intelligence no matter how god-like has any place to decide their fate by any degree of force. WHAT-SO-EVER. By all means, through up your barrier, engineer it to remain the same size and invite in all those that feel compelled to gather beneath you. But to crawl forward, to force yourself onto an entire species just because of some delusion of righteousness is wrong. In my eyes, if the universe wants us dead, fine. We'll scratch at the dirt until our last bloody breath sputters from our throat, then this dying planet can use us as fertilizer to grow anew, or something like that...f**k I dunno. But hopefully life will find a way (#Jurrassicworld#SoExcited!!!1!!11!), and evolution will throw us the genetic ammunition we require to adapt to the world/s that awaits us. All this is probably just going to turn out to look like mentally-screwy rambling, so what do I know, like I said I'm not smart :raritydespair:

TL;DR - Engineered genocide be wrong! I like dinosaurs!

Sorry for the wall of text :twilightsheepish:
