For want of an ability to write!

Bah, I wish I had some vague notions of ability or talent with the written word, or humor... humor would be nice to add too.

    Such Ideas!

So many ideas, so little time.

Not that I actually lack for time, but definitely time I can allocate to writing. Unfortunate indeed, as I've plenty of ideas I'd love to see in text rather than half-thought images.

    Planning a Fic

    So I'm planning a medium-to-long length fic..

Loosely based on Fallout: Equestria (yes... Another one), and I'm hoping to start recruiting editors/pre-readers early.

It's still very much in the design phases, so I may be jumping the gun, but I'm putting it out there for now.

Latest: A take on Fallout Equestria
Title: Fallout Equestria: Dream Valley

Premise: Taking somewhat from Kkat's Fallout: Equestria and Somber's Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons, I'd of written a epic story set in a closed system within the Fallout Universe, think of a similar place to Old World Blue's expansion. Dream Valley would of been the last refuge of the Old World magics. The birthplace of Celestia/Luna (with appropriate backstory and a prequel type sub-story), Dream Valley would have been an isolated place, home to Equestria's greatest wizards, and kept secure by secrecy and natural barriers. Most of Equestria as a whole simply wouldn't have known it ever existed, and they liked it that way.

A few ideas for the main character, and potentially a second story that would run parallel with this one. In one story, we have an exiled unicorn from the Vault (Yes... I know). A unicorn only stable like construct that was built well before the war, but not part of any Stable Tec. installation. Home to a bunch of very powerful unicorns, but lead by a single Archmagus, a body jumping pony named Lazarus. He has a twisted form of immortality where he takes over new bodies, replacing them completely, though he often adopts their personality so as to maintain the illusion.

The other 'main' character would be Discord, who after being freed in Project Horizons, is critically weakened by centuries of experimentation and being drained for 'Flux'. After escaping the rubble of the facility he was contained in, in the depth of a chaotic, deadly swamp, he would be attacked by the new upgraded Poison Joke. Just after a long monologue about Pipbucks, he'd be transformed into one. A Disc-OR.d pipbuck model... much to everyone's irony.

After finding himself on the hoof of a fairly non-descript pony (seriously, was going to call him Stable Boy, brown coat, black mane, hourglass for a cutiemark earth pony... Yes Dr. Whooves reference), and going through much adventure in Dream Valley they'd eventually step into some chamber/room whatnot that finally restores Discord to his full power. Allowing him to simply rewrite history/reality to snap the reader back to Twilight Sparkle, sitting infront of a computer playing Fallout: Dream Valley when her computer crashes as a parallel moment.

Insert a few 4th wall references, when Twilight breaks Rainbow Dash's brain by explaining how Baelfire isn't necromantic in nature, but cronomantic, and Discord breaking Twilight's brain in return with off-the-cuff reference to pieces of the game, implying that he simply re-wrote the reality into a game.

I tell you this all because there's no way I could actually write the full story and give it justice. I can make it sound incredible in my head, but the transition from head to page is leaving me with a feeling of deep depression, and a headache...
