Chapters in CTW will spit between Twilight and AJ as each go on their journey's. I gotta tell you, I'd written this last chapter awhile ago and when I started to prepare it for publication a couple of weeks ago and I re-read that letter from the Chancellor I was thinking. "I can't do this. This is too much...Twilight would have made history." but my wife said "Hey, that's what love makes you do."
Musings on writing, the show, etc.
One of the things about writing this is that I know where things are going, but of course the details don't emerge until I actually write the scene, so it's fun to see what happens.
BTW- You know the whole deal with The Big Lebowski, etc. on the show. Have you ever watched the series "Firefly"? It's on Netflix. It was created by Joss Whedon. originally broadcast years ago and was cancelled after 14 episodes. Its recently become one of my favorite shows. At first I hated it, but as I watched the third, fourth and fifth episodes, I discovered it was one of the best show's I'd ever seen. The reason I mention it is that there are some OC's coming up that may or may not resemble the crew of Serenity It works without knowing the show, but if you do, it's pretty funny.
Change of topic - Another from the "Writers are TwiJack fans" dept. - We had "Maud Pie" on this morning and there's that scene where they have to tell Pinkie that the five of them aren't exactly bonding with her sis. AJ nudges Twi with a non-verbal "Go on now, tell her."
Then in "Tanks for the Memories" Twi get's payback when Dash is in her bedroom crying over Tank. Using her magic, Twilight, slides AJ forward as if to say "Now it's your turn, sweets. I did Pinkie, you do Dash." After seeing it in Maude Pie last year I was saying "I'll bet AJ caught hay from Twi for that one when they got home - (oh, just got an idea for a one off...) Anyway, it's a subtle thing between just the two of them. Love that kind of stuff. I'm sure a lot of fans caught that - but I don't think the three other ponies did.
