So anyone else gonna acknowledge that Fluttershy stayed assertive towards Discord in this episode, even smacking a flower out of his hand near the end. Seems to me Fluttershy's days of being a complete doormat are over and done with.

The second Discord opened the portal to another dimension, fanfictions running rampant went through my mind.
Ending with Celestia was beautiful.
Maud's deadpan heckling of Discord won season 5 hands-down. They'll NEVER top that.
Only took 99 episodes for Pinkie Pie to shake the camera while directly addressing the audience.
Also, am I the only one really annoyed by those music cues they keep playing over dialogue? Makes it unnecessarily hard to hear what they're saying.

Even after season 4, Discord still considers Fluttershy as his only friend? Ouch. Love how Pinkie unnerves him, like he's chaos incarnate, but he can't handle her. Sad the comics aren't in continuity with the show. Broke my heart when Apple Bloom slapped old Dissy.
Maud stole the show. Again. Rocks.
I'm not liking the whole stoner-pony thing that will run rampant after introducing Tree Hugger. It's just not an appealing culture, and people are going to use her character to shoehorn in stoner stuff.
But Celestia in a toga. I can get behind that. Oh yes.

Have to disagree with you 100% on that. There's a ton of Fimfiction potential that can be gleaned from this one.

This was an episode that I feel did live up to its hype. It was a really funny episode with plenty of references like Metal Gear Solid. We got to see Maud return for a short bit and get some lines from her. Celestia's castle has some seriously bad security. Why would a closet full of treasures be so easy to get to? I liked Rarity walking away and covering herself, even though nopony regularly wears clothes. It's definitely the best episode of the season so far.
