Concerning the status of Starswirl + a new work · 9:44pm May 7th, 2015
First off, let me start by saying I'm not dead, and neither is Starswirl. I know that a lot of people tend to use the "hiatus" status then never pick up the work again, but that's not the case with Starswirl. Let me tell you why.
See, first of all, I'm in high school, and I'm... not the best student, academically. I simply find school stressful and difficult. Being near the end of the year, the workload has increased greatly recently and exams are looming ever closer, which is causing my stress to skyrocket. I have neither the time nor the energy to do any writing. On top of that, my periodic writer's block has returned (probably because of the aforementioned stress) and everything I write seems horrible to me. I'm deleting every sentence at this point. So, as soon as summer break rolls around, I'll have free time to write. Hopefully I can work past or get rid of the writer's block at that point.
So yeah, that's what's going on with Starswirl. It's not going to be on the scary permanent hiatus that so many stories seem to be stuck on.
Never fear! Before my writer's block and workload collaborated to annihilate any hopes I had of writing anything, I managed to complete the first arc of a new story that I will be releasing soon! Yay! It would have been released a while ago, but the editing process is taking quite a while (I think my editor hates me- not that I blame him/her, considering the horrible writing I'm throwing their way and my stubborn refusal to change much. I'd hate me too.) So expect that some time in the near future.
Piecrust promise.
But who knows, maybe it'll pan out.
