Anypony Up for a Q&A? · 8:00am May 7th, 2015
Considering how many little projects I have in the works right now plus adding my work and other daily activities, I have seen my current output for content has diminished quite a bit.
I am not quitting by any means, I simply am slow to working through wrinkles in writing and such. So as I browsed through my work on here, I realized I've 221 followers. A feat I never thought I'd accomplish, let alone reach.
Since I never really did anything special for the 100 mark, why not this one? I know most do a simple Q&A, and I'd be more than happy to answer any questions ya'll might have. I'll probably sketch something up for the occassion later, though that'll have to be after the comic I promised a friend of mine.
Still, go at it, I've no secrets per se. Anything is fair game and if brings me closer to ya'll, all the better!
How are you so awesome?
3051693 Haha, you're too kind. Though I would have to guess that I have MLP to thank for that! Without this wonderful little show, I wouldn't have embraced friendship and became a fimfic writer.
Which is just about the only thing that's awesome about me. My writing.

Well I am glad you did buddy!
And before you get too modest, Your scetches look amazing as well and you got a great sense of humor. Give yourself some more credit!
3051721 Best to be modest than stuck up I say.

Of course, But that just means others will need to remind you once in a while that you´re awesome
What is the weardest thing you ever seen?
Who is best pony for you? And how to you get the ideas for youre stories?
3051745 If you mean in general, probably 'Furry Force' on youtube. That is down right disturbing. It's a video poking fun at the furry fandom that a friend made me watch. Funny...to an extent. But it's definitely weird.
If you mean in RL. Probably finding a large tortoise in a small creek when I was like nine. I used to live by a creek and I would walk down the side of it when I was bored. One day I found a giant (for me at least, idk how large it really was but for a nine year old it was enormous) tortoise. I brought it home and my mother lost it.
Some how I managed to find a 'snapping turtle'. How I didn't get bitten even once is beyond me, but it was really aggressive to everyone around it.
3051829 Applejack is best pony for me. I know most consider her a side character or a background pony as a joke, but if AJ wasn't present at several key moments, everything would have gone to hell ten times over. That's what I like about her. She helps out, but doesn't stand out. The moral support that keeps the team together, and honestly speaking, I see her as second in command to Twilight.
I also love how she interacts with her family. I didn't have a good relationship with my own family until recently, but I suppose that's because I took pointers from AJ. I had a.... rough time getting along with everyone. Sometimes I still do. But I try my hardest to make things better and make up for mistakes I had made. I kinda owe it to Applejack for that.
As far as ideas for stories, I have to say it a variety of things. Sometimes music is what inspires me. Sometimes its the spur of the moment. Other times I turn a little doodle into something larger and work from it.
Most of the time, however, ideas come from doing busy work. If I'm at work, cleaning off tables or restocking items, my mind goes off to another world. I then start to day dream and I'll think up of these little scenes in my head. That's actually how I thought up of Sweetie's Shadow.
The very first thing I thought up was this sad little ending, and I worked backwards from there. Even now, I am still working my way towards that scene I thought about way back when.
3052516 Applejack is indeed best pony for those reasons listed, any chance your sombjack fic making it onto your writing list?
what's your drawing technique? My grandpa used to be an animator for an old cartoon, and he draws while using all four fingers on one side, with the thumb holding balance on the other. Do you hold it that way, or do you hold your pencil like how they taught in school, with your two fingers holding one side, and the thumb an the other?
3053081 I could do that, but since I would rotate through each fic equally, I would be afraid it might be a too long a wait for each fic. I wanna test out just two for now, see how it works out. Maybe if I get good I can increase the number.
3053083 I hold it like I did in school. I suppose I can see why the other would be good, certainly gives more range of motion, but since I'm not used to it, it seems awkward to me.
I used to doodle a lot in school, so I got super used to sketching like I normally held my pencil.

I await what happens
3053759 Hmm, interesting. When I draw, I hold my pencil the same, but I've also been practicing holding it differently, and it makes a huge difference with shading. It's much easier to shade that way, but easier to draw the traditional way.
3053772 Well, what I do is that I am constatly turning the paper around. That way I can shade using the natural curve of my wrist as apposed to forcing my hand to hold a specific pattern. I think I spin the paper every other minute to get the right line out

3053781 W-Where are you taking me?
(I'm teasing, I know what you mean.)
3053783 haha! That pun, that was funny!
3053786 I like puns.
3053788 who doesn't? puns make any sentence funny!
3053792 High Five! Everyone else just cringes at my puns. I haven't met another person who likes puns too!
