A Quick Progress Report (And that sort of stuff) · 5:21am Apr 30th, 2015
Hello everyone, I'm doing okay. I just thought I should follow up on what's been happening with the new chapter. So, let's not spare anymore time and jump on this puppy, shall we?
Firstly, editing the chapter has been coming alone great. Because finals are approaching I've had to spend a little less time than I'd like to the editing process. Nevertheless I'm finding time to get it done -- should it begin to obstruct me further will be the point of complete progress shut down. (Let's hope it doesn't come to that.)
My goal was to post it by the end of the month. Since it is indeed the 30th, and I have only gone through it once (included re-writes, scene movement, and basic grammatical clean-up) means it'll be another few days before it's worth posting. The good news is that what I have done to this draft has left me feeling confident about it. Which is always good.
Some other good news is that I found someone to help edit! PRAISE THE LEWRD! He's edited for me before, and the extra hand will bring us that much closer to having a more perfect document. Already now has he gone through +75% of the chapter. Within the next two or so days he'll be done. Then, I myself will sweep on by one more time, just to catch those sneaky errors wherever they are.
I've moved my deadline to May 5th. If I can't post it by then... well, I'll flip my table over. And I'll tell you -- I really don't want to flip my table over. (But I will if I miss another one, dang it.)
In short, progress has been easy-going. I'd prefer if it was quick, effective, and smooth-rolling. But that just isn't going to happen. At least, not this time anyhow. While the blog this time around is a lot longer than the previous few, not much was needed to be said.
No silly antics, no big news. Just a humble progress report. I hope you guys are excited -- the new one is coming out soon!
