I finally got another job. It may be only temporary, but it's a foot in the door for other positions at the same Wal-Mart.
However, I also got a massive reminder that Murphy's Law exists.
That reminder came in the shape of a bill from the government to the tune of $735.94. For being booted from basic training for something I was born with and they neglected to tell me that I should have been removed from the program earlier on because of it.
Earlier on, as in 'before I even left Arkansas'. That 'something' was ADHD.
I can pay the bill but I won't have any cash for myself for a month. In addition to that, I'll be working, so that's even less time to write- not that I was really writing since I got back to Missouri anyway, because my laptop is in Georgia, if my mother hasn't lost/sold/destroyed it, along with other sentimental items.
tl;dr Fuck you, Murphy's Law. I'll pay the bill but I expected better of the universe's balance of karma.
