While I may not have secured any of the top three spots or the community choice award, to have my story placed in the top eight out

    Tricks up my Sleeve

And by tricks, I of course mean new stories. I've just had a certain blue unicorn on my mind lately, given that I'm writing about her :twilightblush:

Last week, Everfree Northwest released a list of all of the entries it has received for this year's Pre-Con Writing Contest. These entries can be found here, and feature a total of 73 short stories on the theme of making new friends. If you are so inclined to vote for my story (A Bump in the Road), it is Entry 15. Based on the pattern that has already appeared in the votes, I am willing to bet that your votes will by no means turn the tide in my favor, but it does make me feel all warm and fuzzy to be voted for, even just once or twice. :twilightblush:

Be sure to read some of the other entries as well, as there are many excellent stories among them. I particularly enjoyed Tea With the Queen, which is listed as Entry 64, and when I get the chance to read some more entries I will update this post with some more favorites. Until then, happy reading and good luck to the other contestants! :pinkiehappy:

Meh, the Community Choice is more or less a popularity contest, anyway, so I would suspect that the person with the most followers would win this section.

And besides, you do happen to have the approval of Everyday and ocalhoun, and I know that both of them are accomplished writers and know quality when they see it. So let those two warm and fuzzy you up!

Based on how the votes appear to be going, I could get behind that theory. Still though, I will take your reminder and be thoroughly warmed and fuzzied by it

A pity, I really liked "A Bump in the Road". Maud and Trixie's personas were extremely accurate and the situation cute as hell.
