The Stuff and the Things... and stuff... · 4:11pm Apr 7th, 2015
Hellos again everyone! I thought you might like an update on some of the stuff and maybe even the things, that I'm working on.
Currently I have four active projects, each demanding part of my attention. The first two you most likely care less about but they're still worth a mention. One is non-fanfic story I've been working on for a long while, I've made some okay progress on it, but nothing near what I want. Next I've been learning Unity so I can get to work on making some of my own games (not pony related so, again less important to reads of this blog (although it is taking up lots of my time)).
Now the part you care(?) about. I've made some good progress with the next Twilight Dash story (tentatively titles Adventures of Twilight Dash (although, so far, less adventury)). I've drafted three episodes so far, which includes: plot, timeline, character back stories (when needed), structure, major events and character goal(s). I'm currently working on two more episodes (chapters) at the moment. I want to draft the whole "season" (still not sure how long its going to be) before I start really fleshing them out. Sadly, I don't have a timeline on when they'll start posting, I'm hoping this year but no promises yet. I'll try my best. More updates on it as I get closer.
Lastly, I have another tangent story that I am fairly excited about. I've dumped a lot of time into it (drafted chapter 15, and pages and pages of notes for it). I was inspired by this fine author: King of Beggars and his awesome story Twilight Sparkle of the Royal Guard (which I HIGHLY recommend you read if you like Alternate Universe stuff).
For the moment, I'll give just the briefest glimpse (no spoilers here) of the idea I'm working. It is an AU story in which we follow Spike in a world of dragons, rather than ponies. On his big test day, when tasked with a simple fire summoning, his flames instead conjure up something very unexpected, a baby unicorn. And he is accepted into Solstices' Academy for Talented Dragons.
It is intended to be much more slice-of-life than adventure (we'll see how I do). Most of the chapters (so far) focus Spike (and Twilight) growing up in this backwards world of dragons. I won't say much more than that for the moment, but feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you think. (And I'm sure something similar to the theme already exists, but as always, I have something special (read: crazy) in mind)
