Top Ten(nine) Friendship Songs

I was going through my YouTube subs and cam across WatchMojo.com. I have already done three or four posts thanks to them. Unlike the other videos, ponies were not involved, or mention. The title was (as obvious) Top Ten Friendship Songs. My thoughts immediately went to 'There better be ponies', thought, through understood ponies would not be.

Which got me thinking, out of all the songs David Ingram and the rest of the musical staff on the MLP:FiM project have created, which are the best 'Friendship Songs.' I will include songs that are directly about friendship and those that have friendship in them.

My Top Ten(nine) Friendship Songs from MLP:FiM:

#10 (ok there is no #10, I only found nine songs. One could argue Hearts Strong as Horses could be included, but I decided to leave it out.)

#9 The Heart Carol:
Found toward the end of Season 2's episode Hearts' Warming Eve (a play on our Christmas traditions), this song is only 38 seconds long. It is the second shortest song behind Season 1's Hop, Skip, and Jump song from DragonShy. It is part of the lure and tradition of how Equestria came to be. David Ingram did state that he considers it "to be a 'real brony anthem' when he wrote it. (Rolling Stone)".

#8 Let the Rainbow Remind You
Though never stated, Let the Rainbow Remind You can be implied as a friendship song. One could also interpret it, out of context, to be one of encouragement to be unique and special. It is short and a bit repetitive, and is the last song of Season 4, ending the episode Twilight's Kingdom Part II.

#7 Perfect Day for Fun
This song is part of the Equestria Girls Rainbow Rocks shorts air before the movie. It shows our huMane Six at an amusement part looking for each other, then rocking out on stage at the end of the night. I almost missed this song. It states they they, the huMans Six, "are looking for fun", and "everyday makes their friendship strong".

#6 Friendship Through the Ages
This is a relativity new song (April 2), put out as a short, featuring the huMane 6 with both Sunset and Twilight. Each character, minus Sunset, represents a period of [musical] time. I will not spoil that much, but Cheerilee's mane is back.

#5 Rainbow Rocks
Number 4 and 5 were a bit hard for me to choose which goes where. Rainbow Rocks is the opening theme for Rainbow Rocks [insert joke]. I decided to put this as number 5 for two reasons: 1 fighting, as stated in the first verses; 2nd, music, don't get me wrong, the music is great, but the sing of it, as described in the song, does not happen in real life.

#4 Better Than Ever
Also in Rainbow Rocks, and its short, I decide to put this here because of its practicality in the real world. Yes I know I am talking about a magical fantasy world with techicolor pastel talking magical horses that happen to go into another dimension with colorful humanoid creatures. (They never said they were Human [Homo sapiens])

#3 A Friend for Life
Another song from the big screens, this can be found at the end, with the credits, of the first movie, Equestria Girls. Basically, it repeats "a friend for life, that's what I want to be", and it is simple. It does however tell that the singer wants to be friends with someone or people for their lives. Though as strong friendship will last lifetimes.

#2 A True True Friend (helps a friend in deed...)
Everypony should know of this song. As number four of seven songs in Season 3's finale, Magical Mystery Cure, it is where Twilight figure out how and gets the Mane 6's cutie marks back on the right pony. At the end, Twilight figures out the rest of the spell that caused this, and once the spell is completed, the Elements of Harmony kill her. I did have thoughts of making this Number One.

Shine Like Rainbows
The closing song for EQG Rainbow Rocks, it tells of how a friend can help a friend out, pick them up, and set them on a right path. The reason I put this as #1 is the up-beat of it, as well as the message, how grateful we are to have friends like that.

And the light that ignites in the dark
It makes us all glow
And shine like rainbows
