That critique I received opened my eyes to the greatest weakness of Draconomachi:
It cannot stand alone.
Think of ALL of the references I've thrown at you in the first few chapters...

get ready for my version of a slightly sad-dark/slice of life fic.
it takes place 3 years before Draconomachi, which is 6 years after canon.
It introduces some of the pieces that go into my full vision Equestria that will be seen in the main branch of the Machi-verse.
Yes that means more waiting.
this will go down and then the next main story chapter will go up.
later on I'll drop the other preludes that go into Luna and Celestia's backstory and a history of the Apple family that gets one of their own mixed up in Spikes adventure.

Question: Are you writing this story as you go along with it, if I may ask? I use to tend to write stories and come up ideas as I write along but since the fanfic im writing now is pretty formulaic and needs to be tightly organized (as there are many characters to focus on), I have to resort to planning out the whole story before I can start writing the actual story.
