WOW! I casually mention my little coming fic and I get my first two folks watching me! Such is the power of Alicorn Twilight Sparkle.
Wait, strike that, in the time I started writing, someone else started watching, for a total of three. Holy crap!
I know this doesn't count for Gwenio, who is practically an Alicorn Twilight Fic connoisseur, but if you guys want some great Alicorn Twi fics to read in the meantime, I cannot recommend Kobalstromo's "On Wings of Change" strongly enough. With luck either tonight or tomorrow I'll be able to submit it for the final editing pass. After that, all I need is the cover art which my wife is working on. She's real busy so I don't have an exact ETA, which is why I have to stay vague on the release. But each day it gets a bit closer.

Well, welcome and I very much hope you enjoy mine!
As I said, it's got a rather different take on the idea of alicornification. (Suck on THAT word, spell checker!) As fun as it is to have Twi suddenly grow wings and deal with it (I'm a HUGE sucker for Alicorn Twilight fics too), I knew that I wouldn't be able to make something unique if I went that route. Too much ground already covered there. So I'm trying something different.
Along with finishing up the first huge block (~40k words or so), I'm working on the second block (currently sitting at ~25k words). I tend to work in huge chunks like that, get them shored up, and then break them into chapters. So it's reasonable to expect some gaps in chapters followed by a chunk of releases.
Expected tags are Adventure, maybe Comedy, and maybe Dark. While it will have dark moments, it will NOT go into or even anywhere near Grimdark, as I personally can't stand Grimdark.
Oh! One more story you may wish to check out is "Not My Destiny". It's one of the early Alicorn Twilight fics, and it's very good. Stay away from the alternate Grimdark ending unless you can stomach it, though. I had to run and hide after about six lines of that.

Not My Destiny? I've read it. It's a good story. I've also read what exists so far of the sequel, Glim. It's good too!
Also, don't forget to specify Cadance's alicorn status! I personally think she is a winged unicorn, not an immortal alicorn. Thus, no huge supply of magic (although more than the
average unicorn) and no immortality. Good luck with the fic!

I read On Wings of Change, and the first chapter is amazing!
Expectations is another awesome Alicorn Twilight fic that I enjoyed immensely, and I love how Twilight reacts to her alicornification (wow, that is a long word...) throughout the story.
