MR3 Revised · 8:53pm Mar 24th, 2015
Chapter three is live again, and sorry for the chapter spam, if that's what happens when republishing a formerly published chapter.
Major changes and minor changes:
*Trixie is less dumb.
*Sunset's sense of urgency is better carried through the chapter. Tension increased, I think. The chapter better matches the 'crisis' part of its title.
*What happened to the Royal Guard? Nopony knows, and now Twilight and Sunset are worried for Shining Armor.
*Better touched up on Luna's reasons for having the mane three not in Canterlot.
*Reaffirmed theme with Sunset, noting Twilight's bonds to the ponies of Ponyville.
*Sunset talks to Applejack before leaving, and believes she's made a new friend, to her surprise. When I originally reached this part of the chapter, first time around, I got lazy. Really shot myself in the foot on that one. Sunset respects AJ now, so of course she would fill the mayor in about what's going on before leaving to storm the castle!
I'm sure the chapter is still terribad, and the whole Canterlot-Ponyville-Canterlot thing probably still feels forced. If I could restart the story from scratch, I can honestly say, I wouldn't change that.
I wanted Twilight to live in Ponyville, so that's what I wrote. So sue me.
Sorry again for the mess, hopefully I managed to address some of the problems in the chapter so future readers don't seek me out in the night to slay me, or something crazy like that.
Anyways, see you again in chapter 4. I'll make sure to take my time with that one, as my biggest failing as an author seems to be my lack of patience.
I just like the fact that you update frequently your consistently putting out new stuff. If afterwards you go out and edit these hat's fine. Having these chapters come out fairly regularly is what's most important.
Her relationship feels forced enough in the main show where you at least have "Because destiny says so." involved.
