Hello World!

Thought that I might as well use this to practice my grammar and writing skills. So without further ado, Here I am.

Now who am I? As of right now, no one really important and while that sounds like a let down, it's not. As of right now, I am no one, just another face in the crowd of an already saturated fandom and the freedom that it brings to me is grand. I am no one! I can screw up and not have legions of fans be watching my every move. The world is mine to laugh, scoff, and play around it (as much as the mods will let me) and I will enjoy every second of it.

Now moving on. As much as I like the point above, I do find myself hoping that I make are creative enough to break the already still fresh molds while keeping the reader's attention (which is a cruel mistress at the best of times). Stories that have OCs, with good characterization i might add, do this (My little dashie). Stories that throw the existing characters into new light and not just relying on patterns of rote routine do this. Stories that have piles and mountains of lore that the writer masterfully interweaves with the existing plot do this.

Stories that rely on shock not effect me (Cupcakes, Spiders) nor do I think they are particularly masterfully written. I find them too predictable and often lacks characterization. Stories that are overtly reliant on crossovers don't pike my interests (It takes a masterful writer to make it work other than "let's throw these two characters from different universe and see how they interact" thought experiment). The last thing that gets me is the lack of imagination. I can handle grammar and spelling being off (this is the internet after all) but when a writer lacks creative thought and purpose, it turns a good story into a dead one. Creative thought is the soul of the story and without it, It is a lifeless husk of words.

And now with that out of the way, It's about time I take off. Hopefully, this is a start of the beginning of a beautiful relationship on this board even if I turn out to be a raving lunatic giving voice on a board which no one cares about my opinion. But then again, That floats my boat just fine...
