So, a thought occurred to me a while ago, and I felt like putting out a blog about it. If humans supposedly evolved from apes, then would that mean the different pony tribes evolved from horses at some point? I mean, it's something to think about at least. Perhaps they're just beasts of burden? It could even be an insult to call someone a horse rather than a pony.
In fact, if horses did exist, then we could have Revan riding a horse shenanigans. Or I could go back to the drawing board of trying to convince one of the Princesses to let Revan ride around on them, at least for five minutes. I don't know, just felt like putting the idea out there, cause I can't shake it from my mind now.
It was generally assumed that all the ponies have evolved from a single ancestor and horses were the cousins of the species. Horses have made an appearance in the show and are said to come from a land called Sadlearabia which is somewhere on the same continent as Equestria. They have friendly relations however back then it is not so known, up to you if you want to make them allies or not. They would not be present in equestrian though because it is too dangerous for them to be there. The horseback riding idea might not work because of how the princesses were portrayed as having attitudes and pride, they would not agree to belittle themselves like that. Especially when they see that Revan can make it on her own in terms of sped and mobility. They can talk about it, and maybe later on show it as a sign of trust however now it would be too soon.
2854842 Oh yes, it would definitely be abrupt as all shit if I did it now. Also, horses are actually in the show? Really? Well, there goes my whole line of thinking, so much for non-sentient, non-talking horseback travel. Anyways, if the map of Equestria you can find on google is to be believed, they actually used to have a bridge between each other until it collapsed. Might have been built before NMM, but those events actually caused it to collapse. Not quite sure, guess I'll just have to go back to the drawing board for travel ideas that don't involve Revan just walking everywhere. Even though it'll likely just end in that anyways.
