Okay, i admit it, I am not the best when it comes to writing parties for a text only medium. Anything i put in feels clunky and just makes me want to get to the meat of the plot scenes. So if you guys have any requests for this party, Pinkie Loki interactions, a drinking game between conrad and RD, i don't know...
i already have the end of the chapter mostly done, but the party itself is annoying me with lack of quality.
If you have any ideas, that won't require a whole chapter in of itself to implement, let me know in the comments below.
Party Cannon Shenanigans
someone needs to get into a conversation about hunting, with a griphon. (griphyn? gryphon? dunno)
also, i think ponies' reactions to knowing that alexia used to be a guy would be interesting enough for filler. but who to use...
Well maybe you could have Loki introduce Rarity to the 'Music of her people' like she did with that one guy. You also could have a quality conversation with Connard and AppleJack. There's also the fact you could have Twilight freaking out over Loki's ability to have Pinkie sense. These are just some shot in the dark ideas that I came up with just now. I'll come back later with a better idea, if it helps you out.

In honesty, keeping the party kind of on the sidelines whilst it follows mainly on Alex or someone who doesn't really get too into it would work. Could have conversations while having them observe events in the party every so often.
Parties, especially stories that focus hard on Pinkie Pie's throwing huge parties (Changelings, Love, and Lollipops: Chapter 13 -- The Mane Makes The Pony: Chapter 4) tend to only hint at something much larger and still focus heavily on a confined narrative.
While some things are mentioned, many other things are not, so you could always use that to your advantage. You don't have to describe all the aspects of a party, only the atmosphere of one for the most part.
I personally want to see interactions between the main characters and others. Maybe a perspective of a native Equestrian to these foreign alien ponies. And of course, Loki meeting Pinkie Pie.
Steal the scene from other authors, or from literature.
