Some Thoughts On Digitized

I'm sure everyone who follows me has, by now, at least heard about my possibly least popular story. But if you haven't, the prologue/first chapter isn't half bad. I think I'm not giving myself enough credit for it.
And by not enough credit, I mean I'm bashing myself about it just cause I made some really bad cover art.
Anyway, whether you've actually read the scrap that I can't even call a story or just heard about it in passing, this blog post is about what I'm thinking of doing with it.

So I reread it a bit, and I came to the conclusion that it actually has potential. The story so far has been written pretty well, and the banter between the characters has been somewhat humorous. All in all, able to be salvaged. That is, if I decide to pursue the idea once more, which might not even happen. (Read my previous blog post for information about that.)
No, but seriously, I was like 14 when I wrote what I have. It's really good for that age and stability level.
Unfortunately, I do not plan to have much more character interaction. Actually, I completely forgot where I left off in my unfinished chapter that is now lost forever. What I do remember of it was that I was planning on having my OC separated from pretty much everyone for at least a few chapters. (Not really a spoiler since I might not even continue it at this point.) I highly doubt that anyone would've wanted to read that anyway, so it's best we leave it and save myself from an onslaught of dislikes and negative comments.
Those things do not float my boat.
To be perfectly honest, I was thinking about cancelling it. Not deleting it, but cancelling it. Although, I already deleted the actually terrible cover art that I made in MS Paint on my old laptop, so it's already one step closer to being salvaged. If you haven't seen it, you're lucky. It was the worst thing I've done in my entire life and deserves to just be forgotten.

But after reading it over another time, I was thinking that I should at least give it another half a year to see if I'll pick it up again. That's why I'm hesitating on the whole "cancelling it" thing. It would be a shame to have a story that was given so much thought just dive bomb right off of a cliff, never to be seen again. Currently it's in a sort of story coma, if you will.

Since all of this is still up in the air, I want you to let me know what I should do with it. Is half a year too long to wait to see if it'll budge? Should I just delete it entirely and forget it ever happened? Maybe you'll suggest making some new cover art for it, something that doesn't suck a thousand butts. Everything is open for suggestion, from the number of chapters to adding more characters. The only reason I won't consider something is if it's completely ridiculous and/or wouldn't work with the general storyline. (Although, I must have hit rock bottom if I'm asking for help in a blog post. Most of you probably won't read this, let alone care.)
