The Fall of the Republic · 9:42pm Feb 28th, 2015
In the dying years of the republic, everyone could sense it coming. Those that couldn't accept that things would change buried their heads in the sand and kept on living as if tomorrow would come, but the winds of change would not blow. Those that felt the winds of change waited, patience is a virtue and surviving a change in the world order requires careful observation. Those that pushed for the change waited the moment to strike, it's not an easy thing to topple a way of life, especially one that's satisfactory for a lot of people. And those at the top bit their nails and waited til the crowd would swell up and knock them from on high. In the end, what they were all waiting for was already done, it had been done for a long time, it'd just take some kind of spur to end the pretense that the world does not change.
It's in this lul before the end I find myself now. It's all over, already. I'm just waiting for the sword to fall. When the dust settles, life will have changed around me, And still, the only question I will ask myself about this period of my life when I look back is: What was i waiting for?
Perhaps my way of life is not worth preserving. Perhaps, with help, I may come to realise I am already dead. It's what I do in the meantime it matters. Perhaps I must first die, at least partly, so that I may find a better way to live.
So, what are you planning?
Wow.
Philosophical moments, huh?
Well, no matter what you decide to do, be happy with it.

And yet, after all of this, you're here for us. How... incredible.
