"...because you never know whats going to become popular" - Pen Stroke
If anything proves that gem of advice, its 'Magical Mystery Oops' - written on a lark, inspired by a (truly awesome) piece of artwork, and the only reason I was working on it was because one of my other story idea's imploded and I was looking for something else to write.
Every writer hopes that one of their stories will get noticed and become popular, but we can't control which story that is. All we can do is keep writing until one takes of - and as is often the case its not the one you were expecting. I had been hoping that one of my Daring Do stories (of which, I've only finished the first) would be the one - but you all decided differently.
So - thank you for reading and liking my story (or at least reading it.) Thank you for getting it into the featured box. Thank you for all the comments (And thank you for pointing out all the typos I missed!)
The next chapter is under way, and if my usual pace holds up I should be able to post every couple of weeks. In the mean time, please read some of my other stuff and tell me what you think of those.

Quite good advice. SiS was only a one shot that gained enough interest to be the massive thing it is now.
It's even worse when you're counting on your writing as your income, trust me.
Yeah, that picture of Twilight the symmetrical draconequus is really popular, this is the second start of a story I've read based on it.
I think it will be a next legend of the fandom.
