You know what I find funny about people who tend to get mad over my FoE work? The fact that they seem completely unable to separate reality from the technicolor pony fantasy. I'm not hurting your waifu, I'm not hurting anyone really. They're not real. They don't exist, and the way your handling the situation doesn't help me feel sympathy towards you cause.
You know what storyline I hate? Motherly Scootaloo. Not because of anything wrong with it in general, objectively it's actually a pretty good story. I just don't like to see Scootaloo being hurt, girl's my favorite tiny filly. One of the few things I would never touch, even for FoE, is anything happening to an aged up Scoot. So I can honestly say I do get why they don't want to see their favorite ponies beaten and raped in a story, but you know what? I avoid Scootabuse and Scootaloo porn (Futaloo being the really odd exception). I don't run around screaming how it's evil and how the creators of it should be ashamed. I ignore it. Because I'm an adult who understands it's okay to not like what someone else likes as long as no one's being hurt. But you don't have to be a douche about it.
Now calling someone a douche isn't a very adult or mature thing to say, but neither is harassing someone in their comments sections or flipping out at them and telling them they can't write something. So I ask why I should treat you like an adult if you want to act like a child? Why should I show you respect if you feel the need to disrespect me over something that should be as simple as ignoring it while calling me a misogynist for not caring about the plight of female characters in a porn setting?
In real life rape is terrible. I'm a result of rape and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I hate seeing the stupid ass comments toward female commenters in any thing telling them to 'get raped', threatening them or anything of the like. Because that's reality, that's not fantasy where there are no consequences and you feel ashamed of yourself if you treat real people like this. See, that's a thing you have to learn as an adult, the line where real and fake ends and where you have to begin showing respect to someone for their actions in life, not for what they might do in some fantasy realm they simply enjoy on the side. You point me to a rapist IRL and I'll call him various vulgarities (I swear like a sailor IRL). You ask me my opinion on gay rights I'll tell you they deserve equal treatment as the rest of us and if you try to hide behind religion to tell me they don't then I'll see you in Hell. You ask me if I'm a feminist, I'll let you know I prefer to be egalitarian and let everyone do whatever work they can/want to without me butting into their lives. You ask me if I think transgendered people deserve the right to be happy, I'll tell you to fuck off for even implying no less than four people close to me don't deserve the best. No I won't name names on that one, only one has opened up to her family about her gender and I won't force the others out just to prove a point. Hell, politically I straddle the line between Liberal and Socialist, so if you want my Manifesto it's a pretty easy thing to put together. Surprising to some of you however, there'd be very little 'use all the women as slaves' in it.
I don't get paid for my work on FoE. NCN and I failed to figure out a way to do so. I write it because I enjoy the setting as a consequence free fantasy and because the other contributors are some of the nicest men and women I've had the pleasure to work with. I just ask one thing of anyone who has a problem with FoE; ignore it. Pretend it doesn't exist the same way I do for Scootabuse or porn of Derpy (I'd rather hug her than do anything else to her). I fully expect most people won't believe me on this, and that's fine. But I don't care what you think. I don't care that you want me to stop writing. You're not important to me, the friends I've made and the people who enjoy this alongside us are important. So I'll attempt to show you respect, I'll attempt to be lenient to you as you insult me. Please, remember we're both adults here at the end of the day that just happen to disagree on the subject of a fictional setting, and if not? Then feel free to fuck off.
Oh, and next time anyone wants to tell me I'm not allowed to write something and their only reason is 'because it makes me feel uncomfortable'? Just remember.

Wow, I am so late in seeing this. Hope you don't mind, but I just wanted to say how true this post here is.
I stopped talking to at least one person on this site entirely for those reasons. They kept saying my kinks must define how I see the world, even without my knowing, because nobody with non-mainstream kinks is capable of separating them from reality.
And that I had to have a grotesque, ugly mind for it. "Nothing personal, of course."
At some point, I just got tired of being insulted.
Thank you for putting this together; I don't see why people can't just say "Hm, FoE, not for me, moving along" the same way they can do that for things like vore or watersports or... hell, even a lot of noncon works that aren't in the FoE setting.
