One Word to Describe Ponies · 2:47pm Feb 16th, 2015
I was on dictionary.com for kicks and giggles, there word of the day looked interesting so I decided to look into it. What I found gave me an idea. This is a simple game, only one word to describe a single pony. The word itself must have its definition posted in addition to which pony you are attaching it to. Try to extend beyond terms commonly used by the fandom for the characters you bringing up.
The Rules:
1. You can only use a single word per pony, this means that while compound words might be acceptable two or more words used like a single word are not.
Examples: Acceptable- Carrion, Unaccountable: Carry On
2. You may not use a word that another person has posted to describe another pony, you are however allowed to leave a comment about how you noticed a certain pony is also defined by the word. However it will not be counted as your point.
3. Points only matter if you want them to, up votes and down votes will be included as a single point towards good or bad while points stated in the comments will be treated at face value.
4. no aggression towards others will be tolerated for the duration of the game, this is supposed to be a game to help everypony increase the terms of their vocabulary, and maybe help give them a good word or two they can use for their projects
5. Remember this is intended to be fun as well as an exercise in your vocabulary.
6. While you are not allowed to use the same word as someone for a different pony you are allowed to use any of the ponies posted or not in this blog.
7. Try to Challenge yourself and us with the words you bring.
I'll start with Twilight and Polymathy
According to the online dictionary I'm using polymathy is define as "learning in many fields; encyclopedic knowledge."
I think this defines Twilight quite well, given what we've seen of her thus far in the series.

Pinkie Pie- Pickwickian, yes that is a real word (it was in my email when I asked dictionary.com to send me new words via email). Pickwickian means "
1. (of words or ideas) meant or understood in a sense different from the apparent or usual one.
2. (of the use or interpretation of an expression) intentionally or unintentionally odd or unusual."
