Alright, so I just watched the movie Into the Woods at the cinema, and I've left with a profound feeling of discontent.
Not because the entire movie was essentially one big long song, or because the ending was kinda disappointing (which a lot of people have griped to me about before I even watched it), or because Johnny Depp had such a tiny a trivial role.
No, the reason I felt slighted was because the whole "Into the Woods" song was almost a direct ripoff of "At the Gala" from the My Little Pony Season 1 Finale.
The more you think about it, the more you realise how I'm right (if you haven't made the comparison already, that is.) In Into the Woods, they're singing about being in the woods and what they're going to do there, and in My Little Pony they're doing the same thing with the Gala. The beat and the tempo and whatnot are similar too. I even found myself singing "Into the woods to find my Prince, into the woods to sell some apples," etc etc.
Someone definitely needs to do a side-by-side comparison on those two songs or something, seriously...
