Some crazy shit happened over this last weekend, peoples!! 
First, and foremost: I met a couple other furries in my area, with whom I've already become great friends with. This happened when I came across a thread on the MNFurs website that asked if any other furries were in their area. That area being Mankato, where I go to school. I replied to the thread, we talked a bit, and twelve hours later, Blade(Tyler) and I were in my car, on our way to one of the bi-weekly furmeets in Minetonka. T'was a magical experience indeed!! 
Second: The meet itself was amazingly fun! We started at perkins, then migrated to Caribou Coffee where we met three other furs; Ski, Tally, and Holly. The five of us wandered over to the local Walgreens, for no particular reason, and then returned to Caribou. Once Caribou closed for the night, all the furs left (about 45-50) headed to the Applebee's for half-price food, and general shenanigans. We stayed there until about 11pm, and everyone else started to clear out. Our little party of five, on the other hand, didn't feel like calling it a night, an decided to troll around the local Cub Foods for about an hour, where we bought hats, and various snack foods. Once 12am hit, we decided (begrudgingly) that we all really needed to call it a night. So Blade, and I got back in my car and made the hour long drive back to his dorm on campus. However, he offered to show me around campus, and introduce me to a couple of his friends, so we didn't end up parting ways until almost 3am. Easily the most fun I've had in a very long time, if not the most ever
Third: I am finally getting a reference sheet for my fursona, and guess who I'm commissioning

Fourth: I'm going to be using that ref sheet by FoxInShadow to finally commission my own fursuit from AppleMonster!! 
Lastly (Finally at the end): I'm going to AnthroCon, in Philidelphia this July!! It's the biggest furry convention in the world, and it's ludicrously hard to get reservations, but Blade, and I managed to get one before they were all gone. And seriously, they were gone in only fifteen minutes
We're currently attempting to recruit fellow con-goers to help split costs on the trip. If we get at least five people, it should only cost about $180-$210 for each person (Not including registration). This is gonna be so fucking awesome!!!!
