Since I Was Small, A New Hope · 4:20am Feb 3rd, 2015
So for anyone reading Since I Was Small (let's be honest, why else would you be reading this), you'll have noticed I just uploaded a new chapter. It's pretty much the same one as the other, but with a few more intensive edits. I removed the scene where Deetsa talks to Morfo, removed a few jokes one of my editors snuck in and I forgot about, and tried (read "tried") to make Deetsa less of a nob. There's really no need to read it again if you don't want to, but if you want to you can.
What does these changes mean, however? It means that I've decided to continue my story. It received enough attention, thanks mostly to WandererD, that I'd feel bad if I didn't finish, and it's something I've been wanting to do for a while anyway. I don't know when the next chapter will be out, but hopefully in the next week or so.

I find it disappointing that you're choosing to continue it now that's it's gained recognition from Wanderer D. If he hadn't mentioned it, I fear it would have been left in the dust for much longer.
2772170 Hi there! Thank you for your honest concern. I'll respond with honesty myself.
I put the bulk of this in my author's note on the original copy of the first chapter, which I have since removed in lieu of some edits made. If you came to my story after this occurred, I'll restate it for you.
When I posted SiwS, my plan was to leave it entirely up to fate to decide if I was going to continue the story or not. I wrote the first chapter over two years ago and it collected dust all on its own when life got in the way and I never got around to posting it within those two years. I thought about posting it here and there, but wasn't in a good place to continue it if it had managed to garner attention. More and more recently, however, I've been finding more free time and decided I would blow off the dust and see what fate brought me. If it got attention and people wanted me to continue, I gladly would. I had most of the story mapped out in my head already and I'd be able to get the ideas out. If it didn't catch on, well, it's a two year old story. Not that big of a deal for me.
Now, D has been a good friend of mine for a long time. I did some work for him at the end of The Empty Room and have been doing more work (although not recently) for him on The Sweetie Chronicles. I told him my plans for posting the story, same as I mentioned just above, and being the cheater/friend he is, brought it to the attention of his fans. And with the attention he thankfully brought it, I'll be continuing the story.
So you're spot on in saying that it's largely because of him that I'm continuing the story. I'm not ashamed of that fact at all. If that makes you not want to read it, then I'll be sad to see you go. If you stick around, however, I'll try not to disappoint you.
