I apologise for every grammar mistake in advance, I haven't been able to write a lot of English lately.
Tomorrow is my exam of Japanese history and I'm tired as buck. But my exams are also over tomorrow, so from then on I'll be able to write again. I'm sorry for the long delay, studying has kept me bussy most of the time.
In Japanese history there are some bad-ass people, like warlords who destroy an armies that outnumber them 10 to one, peasants who become rulers of Japan and so on. But one specific character has kept me baffled, his name is Suneemon.
Imagine that your castle is under siege and completely blocked of from the rest of the country. Would you try to sneak out the castle, dodge all the traps and go all the way to inform your warlord and beg him for help? Maybe, probably, it is certainly better than to just die in vain. But would you ride ahead, sneak back in the castle to inform your man that help is comming? Because I'm not that suicidal.
But not Suneemon, he tries... and gets captured. But that is where his courage shines like a beacon of hope. Because the leader of the enemy forces offered Suneemon to tell his troops that no help is comming. He agrees.
But, when he was raised on a crucifix in front of the castle he did the most loyal thing one can imagine. He yelled that his man had to keep fighting and that help is on its way. Of course he was executed on the spot for that.
It is that kind of sacrifice that I want to imply in one of my stories, and I will... eventually
