    Bronycon Forgetfulness

Actually, in this case, it's more that I'm so disorganized in my house that I can't find the specific Magic cards to go netdeck. That, and I left it for the last minute. Cuz that's how I roll. Apparently quite badly.

    On Donald Trump

    Greetings fellow sufferers!

So the Trumby has been sworn into office and stuff. Here, have a video of Stone Cold Steve Austin getting the Trumby drunk and then opening up a can of whoop ass on him.

Every dog- err... moth... catboi... thing has its day.

To be honest, I've been playing absolute craptons of Halo 5 ever since it got released last year. Y'know, instead of trying to write because lazies. Like, multiplayer Warzone is quite amusing once you manage to stockpile enough weapons in your inventory. I absolutely suck at the game, though. Can't shoot worth a damn. But one day, I managed to go on a killing frenzy by miraculously managing to

"It dazzled me. Now it'll dazzle you." · 2:07am Jan 12th, 2015

Greetings, fellow sufferers!

Back at the tail end of October, PsychGoth[1] released a little instrumental preview of a song he was working on, an extended version of Rainbow Rock's Welcome to the Show by the Dazzlings. The backing instrumentals sounded very Mortal Kombat-esque. Like they could've been used for Fighting is Magic. It had a rather sinister quality to it. And I liked it. Intrigued, having been a psychgoth fan since bronydom entered my life, I awaited for the full version of this song.

Sonata knows things.

But none ever popped up on youtube. In fact, psychgoth took off the preview video recently, while I was planning on writing this blog. I really should be quicker on these things, eh?

However, I never checked his soundcloud account. Hell, soundcloud is actually a decent place to check if pony musicians have anything new that they haven't yet posted on youtube. And, whoop de doo. Whudda ya know. He posted it there.

I've transcribed the lyrics as best I can and by who is singing what. If I've made any mistakes, pointing them out would be appreciated, eh?

Welcome to the Show (Extended Dazzle Mix)

(harmonizing)

Adagio:
Welcome to the show
We're here to let you know
Our time is now
Your time is running out

(harmonizing)

Feel the wave of sound
As it crashes down
You can't turn away
We'll make you want to stay

We will be adored
Tell us that you want us
We won't be ignored
It's time for our reward
Now you need us
Come and heed us
Nothing can stop us now

(drop, harmonizing)

Aria:
Let your freedom go
And let our magic grow
Throw thought away
And just watch us sway

(harmonizing)

Sonata:
Now we have in store
All we wanted more
True power is bliss
Now it's time to finish this

We will take control
You cannot resist us
We will sink our claws
Into your very soul
You can't stop us
You're beneath us
Now we will finish you

I can't find credits on the singers, though. I dunno. Vannamelon?

I guess it's safe to assume that because psychgoth took down the preview video that he'll post up the final version soon? Or... maybe this isn't a final mix yet and he's still working on it. I'm also suspecting that he might've given up and psychgoth's Welcome to the Show might not show up on youtube for the eager masses to consoom, only to entertain those on soundcloud before it, too, is taken down. Better start making copies.

I really like this song. I haven't stopped listening to it since I found it on Thursday. The instruments provide a sense of dread that you could prolly dance to.

*sways arms in circles like a bad window cleaner, while slowly swaying hips like some sort of untrained belly dancer of the highest calibre*

The vocalization done by the girls is what you would've wanted it to be in Rainbow Rocks; they're better. It's harmonious; a triple helix of power lust, taunting, and perfect ritualization. One of them floats in from harmonizing in the background to backing vocals of whoever is singing while the other keeps on harmonizing, giving an extra emphasizing oomph that's subtle at times. It's a threesome of evil synchronization. They're working as a team to get the power they desire, mixing it up so you don't know where the next punch is coming from, yet they stay smooth as the bassist (apparently it's L-Train) smiles, playing in the interim, unaware he's under their spell. And neither are you.

It gives the imagery of some epic magic duel between a bunch of girls, good and evil.

Look, I ain't some sort of music critic. But I know what I like. It's painting images in my head, so I know it's good.

Oh, and Sonata gets some very vicious lyrics. She knows a lot more than she let's on, eh? Sometimes.

I find that relatable.

[1]No, we have no relation. Where'd you get that idea?
