Love and Tolerate? · 2:24am Jan 3rd, 2015
I've been thinking about how bronies are meant to have this reputation to 'love and tolerate' ect and I was wondering: does anyone say that about us... except us?
I can see how how if a guy likes mlp, and most people in his life make fun of him for it, and then he finds a facebook page, where everyone accepts him for it, how he might say 'these people are accepting'; but for someone to accept you because your like them, isn't a display of love.
There's always going to be a feeling of comradely among minorities that aren't accepted in the mainstream; the same would be true for drug addicts. A loving community would be one that showed more concern for strangers, then the rest of society does. When people who aren't bronies are saying 'wow, these brony guys are so generous/ trustworthy/ patient/ helpful; I wonder what's different about them'; then I might believe this self-proclaimed title of love that we've given ourselves.
Makes me think of Jesus on the sermon on the mount when he said: "If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?"
