What are some ships between canon ponies that you've never seen done. Either because they just never knew about each other or because it was just too weird, or some other reason. Something that just sounds like it can't work.

Well, I was thinking of a polyamorous Twilight x Lyra x Vinyl the other day. That's different.

Then there was The Lesbian Chronicles, a crack ship project aimed for the mane six, aimed to ship them with mares that they rarely get paired with, or entirely new alltogether. They were:

Spike being shipped with Gummy is actually interesting. They're both reptiles, after all, although they don't have very much in common. But who knows? Maybe Gummy's blank stare hides a smoldering love for a certain dragon.
