    Bronycon was great!

Last year's was, that is. I didn't go this year. Next year I probably will though.

This post brought to you by me noticing I hadn't made a blog post since Extended Bronycon Vacation. I did not go on a year long vacation, as disappointing as that is to report.

    Extended Bronycon Vacation

Just in case anyone is wondering enough about where my comments are to come looking, I'm on vacation visiting family in the NYC area before Bronycon next weekend. It's kind of unfriendly to sit and read and comment on stuff instead of interacting with the people you flew across the country to visit, so I'll have a limited site presence at best for the next week or so.

    Another Half Marathon Down

This time it was the OKC Memorial Marathon. Last year I did the full and the year before that the 5k, so it only made sense to do the half this year to complete the set, especially since I hadn't even remotely trained up enough this spring to be ready for the full.

As in previous races, I text-to-speeched some pony fic chapters, this time the following:

    Some More Art

This is a bit of a follow up to Another December Sunday Morning in Dallas. I was highly amused by the official race shirt, and when I managed to snag a commission slot from Sophie I knew what it had to be.

Stuff I would recommend... · 2:35am Jun 28th, 2012

Largely a response to a question from borsko, here are a few of my top recommendations in case the list of 100+ favorite stories on my user page is a bit much.

The Best Night Ever is one of my favorites. It is a very fun Blueblood redemption fic written in the style of Groundhog Day, and has an in-progress sequel that is quite good though very politics heavy and is more of a Rarity fic than a Blueblood fic.

The Flight of the Alicorn is another great one, an in-progress adventure story involving Rarity and Blueblood. Odd, you'd think that was one of my favorite ships or something... :trixieshiftleft::trixieshiftright:

On a Cross and Arrow is one of the original rule 63 fics in the fandom, and from what I understand is where the colt mane 6 names like Dusk Shine and Elusive come from. Also has an in-progress sequel.

The Ambassador's Son (contains a pony shaped dragon), Wild Sky Yonder (a great in-progress Spitfire story), My Choices: A Twisted Tales Through Time (in-progress time travel/alternate timeline story starring adult Twilight and adorable filly Twilight and Trixie), and Wild, Sweet & Cool (fun and hilarious Dash and Twilight friendshipping) are a few other longer stories well worth reading. Background Pony as well, in case you want something with 20,000+ word chapters.

Tiny Wings and Shine are a pair of Scootaloo and Dash stories, the later of which is written by The Descendant who is just about my favorite author in the fandom, I would recommend anything of his.

Naked Singularity and For the Love of Science are a couple of absolutely hilarious stories by the always fantastic Cold in Gardez. I would also recommend anything he has written.

Two Peas In A Pod in case you want to die of laughter.

Last for now, I think, Sunny Skies All Day Long is probably my favorite "I wish they would just turn this into an episode" story.

Hope this helps!

It helps thanks. Though I personally cannot stand Rarity in the Flight of the Alicorn.
