I recently joined a D&D game... · 8:51am Dec 15th, 2014
...and I'm not being subtle about my character inspiration.
Unfortunately, I seem to be the only brony in the group, as nobody's called me out on it yet.
MacUbhal
A tall, powerfully-built young man, with hair on the light end of strawberry blonde, green eyes, and a scattering of freckles on his face. He wears a wide-brimmed hat of dark leather, and a long red coat over his light armor. A heavy, five-foot blade is strapped to his back, along with an equally-large bow.Hailing from a farming village in mountain country, MacUbhal had responsibility put upon his shoulders at a young age, when both of his parents died in an accident. With the help of his grandmother, he did his best to care for the family farm and his two younger sisters. However, as time went on, it became harder and harder to make ends meet. So, once his eldest sister was old enough to handle the farm and household, he set out to earn gold as an adventurer.
It was originally his intent to become something of a sellsword, doing what he must and sending his earnings back home to his family. However, Mac’s morals won him over more often than not, and he frequently finds himself helping those in need regardless of their ability to pay. Still, he does earn enough money to bring a good sum back home every so often.
Mac is a man of few words, sometimes going an entire day without speaking more than one word at a time. However, he writes frequently, keeping a journal of his travels and writing home whenever he finds the chance.
Nnnope.
Ah, D&D, a game for all like us to play. A game where the world is based on luck and Fate (AKA the DM) and the customization and personality of your character has to be one of the best parts.
Also, night dwelling is fun, don't you agree?
Fitting character for a D&D game.
Do you answer questions that only need one word with 'Eeyup' and 'Nnope' ?

He better not! He's the only experienced player in the group!
I've long had an idea for an R63 AJ barbarian. :B
Ooooh. D&D. I always wanted to play that...
D&D and MLP. its like a 2 for 1 nerdgasm
Me: Can my character have a horse?
DM: Yes. Why do you ask?
Me: Just wondering. Can I name her Pinkie Pie?
DM: God damn it, you're getting a riding sloth
Me: Working on my character, do you have stats for sloths?
DM: No, you get a unicorn named Derpy because only derpy unicorns will let males ride them.
Me: Well, given the abilities of a unicorn, I'd say that's pretty awesome
DM: Remember, it's a derpy unicorn.
Me: So?
DM: Just messing with you. You can have a horse, but you can't name it Pinkie Pie.
Me: Okay.
Me: How about a Mongolian horse named Spitfire?
DM: Sure, that's okay.
I don't know if he ever figured out that Spitfire was a pony, too.
