Catching the White Whale and Questions about a Convention · 5:17am Dec 12th, 2014
Evening folks!
I had intended to write and publish this blog when I got home from work but my internet decided to take a break for four hours. >_<
As some of you have already noticed, Stardust has been featured on EqD! Thanks to the help of many amazing proofreaders, the story has been corrected extensively and was featured just today! At last I've captured my white whale.
Now, on to my second subject for tonight. As I am now working a job that pays well enough to allow me to actually go somewhere on vacation, I am putting serious thought into going to the Mid West Brony Fest in Kansas City, Missouri this coming may. This will actually be the first convention of any kind that I will ever go to so it will be quite the experience I expect. Is anyone else going to attend that gathering? As much fun as it will be to go, I am somewhat afraid I might just skip over a lot of it unless I have someone to go with.
Anywho, that was all I had to say at this point. I'm about 50% done with the next MM chapter but I'm on a roll. :)

I'm actually in KC. It's a nice little city with some great gems. Sadly, I'll be off in Japan come May, but I think you'll enjoy KC if you do make the trip.
Except for the airport, anyway. Don't let our pitiful, small, illogically designed airport color your impressions of the town.

Congratulations on the EqD feature! I hope you enjoy your first pony con! I had my first experience at this year's Bronycon, and it was an incredible one!
I think I'll use this milestone as an excuse to re-read Stardust...again. Might as well since I'm out of interesting things to read...

I'm not actually out of interesting things to read, but I might use this as an excuse to re-read Stardust again anyway. Which will probably get me playing XCOM again.

Maybe I should hold off until I'm done with finals.
If you do decide to go to the convention, remember the 3-8-1 rule. Three meals a day, eight hours of sleep, one shower. Up the last to two if you're a suiter.
I'll happily relay some con ettiquette basics, if you're interested.

Can't tell ua anything about visiting a MLP themed con, but my own experiences with Dragoncon is: a) have cash to by frivulous things; b)have a camera on hand; most importantly, c) HAVE FUN!!!
Well, I can't guarantee that I'll see you there, but it's always nice to here that people are stopping in around my neck of the woods.

I may be new here, but just over a week ago I read the entirety of Stardust, up to date in MM, and uh... that other one that's not about Twilight. In about fifty hours, including sleep and school and life.
This shit is about ten times better than snorting a kiloton of medical grade cocaine. Also you've made me start spiraling into X-COM madness once again.
