When I complain about lag and glitches, this is the sort of shit happening to me.
It's happening almost every game at this point.

It ran fine for months. But ever since a few weeks ago, I've had severe lag, a bunch of glitches like this, and gotten timed off of servers.
And no, nothing new's been installed in the meantime.

Maybe its something inside the game then, my laptop crashed and burned (not really) when i tried to run it, 3 times, now we think its something to do with the hardware, then again i am using a laptop, my problem may have nothing related to yours, sorry to hear that, have you tried running other games and they have the same problem aswell?
Yeah, this happens to me a lot as I play. Sometimes lag would pretty much hinder my movement... for a long time, causing me to get killed; and sometimes it's so bad that it actually crashes the server I'm playing in, causing it to disconnect me (and possibly every player) from it. So yeah, I know how you feel.
This is why I stopped playing TF2 for the time being
