Hope everypony's Thanksgiving was relaxing, and if you don't live in the States, then I hope you had the best Thursday possible. 
Have you seen the front page of 'Sensation' lately? It's got new art! Wireframe pointed me to Neko-Me over on DeviantArt (click me for the full image!), and they did an absolutely spectacular job. In addition to being wonderful to work with, they were very accepting of the changes I suggested. I wholeheartedly recommend them for any sort of pony picture you have in mind if you like that style. I'd originally wanted to unveil it at the same time as a new chapter, but why wait?
Speaking of masterful transitions, chapter 17 is coming out this week! I don't have an exact date yet, but I'm shooting for Thursday. My original goal was to have chapter 18 done by December 7th, which I'm going to stick to as much as possible - the first draft of that chapter is about halfway done (it's a big one), and I'll be using it as a creative break when I can't stand working on finals anymore.
Also, because the world can never have enough squee...
My fiance got these guys for me for my birthday and Christmas gifts. Expect to see an insufferable number of pictures of them over on my Twitter in the near future. For now, I mostly just sit around making them kiss.

The cover art turned out great. It's an interesting style that somehow seems to mix a semi cartoony appearance in the foreground to a background that leans to a more realistic suggestion of details, even with the barn somehow defying the depth of field
. The lighting is simply gorgeous. Then the detail in Soarin's wing I can appreciate quite a bit as well as the sweet content expressions on both their faces.
No fancy dinners or turkeys for me that Thursday. In fact I think I might have even just gotten a quick snack at the train station after work, skipping dinner entirely to be able to make it to the weekly board game evening on time. I might have played some dragon age inquisition afterwards, as I'm rather involved in a romance subplot within it ^^. Nothing extraordinary, but fun regardless.
Well, I'll be looking forward to reading the upcoming chapters. Though as much as I love reading about cute stallions falling in love, make sure your finals come first ^^
