    I cried. A lot

Came back for the last three eps and damn if pony still doesn't have some emotional hooks still sunk in deep enough for it to really get me hard.

Of all things 'Lyra + Bonbon' was what got the first tears to come. Lovely nod to the fandom and very much appreciated!

Then the closing song and the book being shut had me in actual floods.

    Your next Faustian contract?

So now that MLP is ending how about them DC Super Hero Girls. I had no idea this was even a thing outside of some vague awareness of terrible online animation, but Cellspex in her latest video pointed out this is a thing. Binged it pretty hard over the weekend and it's good!

    Not perfect though.

    Two years I have slumbered...

200th episode though? 100 episodes since the absolutely sublime love letter that was Slice of Life? Yeah I kind of had to check that one out.

    It was alright.

Spike having wings was a proper u wot mate. Don't know when that development happened, but it was likely as overdue as the acknowledgement that he's Twilight's younger brother which was deeply appreciated.

An episode I actually want to talk about

Spoilers for yesterday's episode in Health of Information follow.

To take up space for those who haven't seen it yet. Hi, been awhile! Thanks for the follow and sorry I quit out on you arguably making it to still be so pretty pointless really. Well not to those still pissy about All for You who are still looking to have a go even now years later as they can sod right off.

To quote one of my fics if you don't mind...

She'd heard that the changelings had queens. Did that mean that they had princesses too? Trixie wondered. Possibly, she reckoned, but she did figure that a changeling that wanted to prey on her would prefer to do it up close and personal. The griffons had chieftains, the dragons were complicated, and the minotaurs practised a deeply suspicious form of rule called

Once more into the breach, dear friends · 9:56pm Oct 22nd, 2014

So after some incredibly bad history which I really don't want to go over again I'm having another crack at getting on EqD. Wouldn't have tried before even with the glorious friendlier new regime, but that was before I discovered that PresentPerfect had reviewed By Royal Command way back in 2013.

I'd had no idea (yet another reason that the stats seriously need to track internal referrals along with external ones... or I need to use less generic titles, one of the two anyway) that it had been checked out by an official EqD pre-reader. Thankfully he uses the swanky new bookshelf system and added it to one titled 'reviewed', it even got the stamp of recommended from him which was nice. Ended up exchanging a couple of pms and was persuaded to give venturing into the burning flames one more try.

Mooncalf was wonderful enough to give it the third eye proper treatment and winging away it goes to probably be rejected once more. Reasonably sure they won't wait for Christmas Day again to twist the knife again, well, reasonably sure...

On the off chance I do get in I solemnly swear not to add an obnoxious Featured on EqD on ... note cause seriously.

The revised version is up so feel free to check it out in the usual place and if you see anything dodgy (probably caused by having to format it yet again) then please tell me!

In other news for the Other Media crowd wondering how my ban appeal went. Basically it didn't. No response a week later which kinda does surprise me as the last and only other time I got in trouble over there I got a response within the hour and honestly that was way way worse in my eyes. Oh, I think that photoset is still hysterical but very much the wrong audience. Kind of wish I hadn't grovelled so much as fuck it I was right dammit when it gets down to it. Definitely not going to be renewing my paid membership when it comes up again next May and I'm experiencing buyer's remorse for doing it in the first place given how shoddy they've acted. Even more so that being banned I can't be logged in the forums and there's lots of become a member to remove the adds links annoying me. That they permabanned a good online mate awhile back I'll admit doesn't help much either. Grr arggh and so on.

On the plus side wow has it freed up a whole bunch of spare time I had no idea I had :pinkiehappy:

Very much doubt I'd have completed Shadow of Morder (fecking awesome if you're wondering) this weekend if I still had my posting privileges so hey ho silver lining as much as I'm sure those who enjoy my pony comics reviews and my One Piece where I watch are disgruntled by me having a perfect excuse to slack off for another three weeks. So yeah positives to be had and the last time I'll mention it here I swear.

I assumed as much as, along with Shovel Knight, it's one of the very few games to come out recently that Yahtzee liked.

To paraphrase what I remember of his reveiw, "The main story is weak, but who cares when I can insert my own narrative about a poor orc trying to struggle his way up the ranks without being brutally stabbed in the bum-- by me".

Still bullshit about your ban. Also, sincere good luck on EQD.

Very much BS on the ban, and I've not been impressed by how RPGnet has handled things lately.

My third eye sees all your grammar mistakes. It was a pleasure.

That one of the most memorable villains in gaming recently has been a randomly generated and really amazingly persistent orcish chap known to me as Shaga Black Blade is seriously impressive.

Feeling that, also not going to lie this recent ban (that only got two weeks I note) made me let loose some pretty dark laughter cause bloody hell this feels all too accurate right now.

I mostly lurk to see what the consensus views are among left-leaning internet Social Justice Warrior types, and to occasionally watch you eat your own when they fail to toe the party lines.

2551572 Watching the self-described SJWs is an exercise in primate politics in all of it's glory, minus the small veneer of "civilization".

I watch for the same reason. That, and hopefully target discimination.

The sad thing is I really am as leftist as they come. Hell, probably scarily so to Americans. Inclusivity, feminism and so on are all things I strongly believe in.

My problem has always been with these types is the methods, that they're so reactionary that they put right wingers to shame and that they always seem to be punching down and sideways rather than up. It's apparently far safer to hammer the outrage button over say nerdy gamers or minor fan artists like with the DWM debacle than fighting the injustices that really matter. When you go after people minding their own business you're not fighting for justice you're just being a bully.

2552792 Bingo. That's most of the SJW and their ilk in a nutshell-petty tyrants and bullies that hit people that can't hit back. If they fought somebody that could hit back, they might have their delicate feelings hurt.

Yikes, after not getting a response still I was considering taking another shot at the admin email to point out how they'd lost a paid subscription over such shoddy modding... but after HeyYouGetOffaMyCloud got a Perma for saying something not all that unreasonable (hell, it was pretty similar to what I was saying) yeah, well, it's just not at all worth it.

2554995 I'd still complain on general principals, and because sometimes shaking the money tree gets more results than shaking the outrage bush.
