Possible upcoming retcon for On A Falling Star

Hello everyone. I suppose you realize that I have been very spotty about my updates to my stories lately. This is mostly due to school having started back up a while ago for me, and in between that, games, bus shenanigans, and me trying to deal with irritation and lack of sleep, I have had very little time to write, and when I do have time to write, my muse has not even shown hide or hair of itself. However, this is not a blog to explain why there have been a lack of updates. This is a blog to ask a question.

Basically, I'm thinking of retconning the tagged story so that it takes place in between Nightmare Night and Nyx and Alicornundrum. Another retcon is a slight alteration to the MLP verse that I am crossing KSP with. If I can get Reality Check's permission to do so, no matter whether any of the events from any other Nyxverse stories (like say, Cherilee's Class or Alicornundrum) happen, Tirek's return is not solved without the real need for the Mane Six to get involved. While I like Spike kicking arse and taking names, my opinion on Tirek is that, once he had pretty much all magic in Equestria at his disposal, there wasn't much that could even faze him. As such, while Spike, Rock Steady and Diamond Bright's platoons, and the Kerbals might be able to run an epic delaying action, they ultimately won't beat Tirek on their own. However, I want reader input. Where on the timeline do you think this story should fall?
