Won't make this very long. Came up with a plot device that would allow a reverse Equestria Girl situation where the main cast of Monster High would come to Equestria by accident, on Nightmare Night, of course.
Now, the question is, what sort of ponies would they be.
Six of the girls only. To match up with the Mane Six.
Frankie Stien
Cleo De Nile
Lagoona Blue
Clawdeen
Ghoulia.
They'd be monster versions of whatever pony they ended up as, but what ponies would those be.
Draculaura would be easy She'd be a Vamp Pony
Cleo might be a Unicorn, but should she be a mummy Alicorn. She is a princess after all.
I'm going to be musing on this tonight and deciding if I'm going for a one shot Halloween story or not. Response and my own muse will decide which it will be.
Cleo should just be a unicorn. Frankie a Pegasus. Ghoulia a earth pony. Lagoon a sea pony. Not sure about Clawdeen. Maybe an earth pony with an extra shaggy coat, sharp teeth, and wolf ears. And maybe wolf claws, but only one set on either the front or back legs.

For instance Twilight decided to go as the Mummy of an ancient Alicorn Queen.
Rarity and Rainbow dash coerced Fluttershy as going as a Vamp pony, but she refuses to come out of her house, so everyone assumes Draculaura.
Rarity planned on going as a werewolf-pony, but fell asleep after binging on costume making.
Applejack planned on going as Frankie Pony
Pinkie as Zombie
I'm thinking I might replace Lagoona with the Gargoyle girl from Scaris, so she can match up with Rainbow as a Gargoyle pony.
2541920 That's cool. For the record, you can just call a vampire pony a "vampony" and I'm pretty sure everyone will know what that is. Seeing it as two words is a little weird.
Also for the name of the wolf pony, instead of using "were", the old English word for man, you could use "eoh" the old English word for horse. I saw it "eohwolf" used once a while back, can't remember the story though.

Vampony, I knew that was right. Thanks for the suggestion to use Eohwolf.
Like I said I'm still working this out on the fly, My idea now is that they show up in the Twilight's throne room, nopony else is there. They have a little time to freak a bit about being ponies and to describe what they look like and then Spike comes in and jumps to the conclusion that Cleo is Twilight and the other's are the rest of the mane six, made up with a combination of Twilight's magic and Rarity's styles.
The girls decide to go with the flow till they can figure out what is what.
Ghoulia should be a pegasus. She dreams of having superspeed after all. While she will presumably retain her limited zombie reflexes pegasi flight appears to rely on their bodies mostly for fine control while the thrust is magical. While she'll probably crash a lot at first if she manages to figure out anticipating and starting to manuever several seconds (minutes?) early she should be able to master straight line flight and basic turns.
