Shipping Ideas and Chapter Update

I'm actually gonna cut to the chase here with the first part of this blog post. Like most HiE fics that I had found, there usually involves some shipping between the main human character and one of the ponies (Griffin the Griffin not really included; brilliant fic though). Needless to say, I may actually be doing that as well.

The only question is, who do I pair William up with? I haven't gotten to that part yet, but thinking about it has lead to some rather interesting pairing ideas for some other Fallout 3 characters, some of which that can actually be explained, and others that I came up with while drunk and listening to 'Call Me Maybe'. Here's just a small list which may include some spoilers as to who all may be in the fic and the potential sequel.

Three Dog x Cheerilee: This one I came up with a little while after the Hearts and Hooves Day episode, in which Three Dog essentially takes Big Mac's place with the Love Poison. A random idea which also involved Three Dog with a guitar and much needed earplugs

Colonel Autumn x Queen Chrysalis: This was the pairing I was talking about when I said I was drunk and listening to Carly Rae Jepsen. Honestly, this would've turned out to be more of a comedy than an actual shipping. Other than the cheap laugh it gives me whenever I think of a 'war veteran' running for his life from the Queen of the Changelings, this doesn't really mean anything to me.

Fawkes x Cherry Jubilee: Now ironically, this was the most serious shipping pair I've had out of the three, and for good reason. Think about it, Super Mutant wakes up in the middle of Dudge Junction, townsponies run away thinking he's a monster, somehow gets a job working at Jubilee's cherry orchard, blah blah blah yakkity smackity, potential romance. Of course, the real side story idea won't just be this simple; I'm planning on working it through to see if I can't add more problems along the way.

So anyway, enough with the pairings; you're all wondering when I'm gonna get my next chapter published. Well, I can just say now that it's going to be soon. It's going to be shortened just a little since I'm still a bit overdue with the update (though I never really set up a deadline), but this chapter's looking to be about 3000-4000 words. After this chapter is published, I'm also planning on writing another bonus chapter loosely based off of this pic:

Yes, it will feature William (in Spike's place, I might add) and it's essentially going to be more of a joke epilogue. At least it was, but it kept playing around over and over again in my head, so I'm gonna have to get this down on Microsoft Word lest it robs me of the rest of the fic and all I keep thinking about is, well, this idea.

On a side note about said bonus chapter, it will contain a small spoiler as to what will happen at the end of the fic. It won't be anything really revealing, like, say, the Capital Wasteland and Equestria merging to form a new origin story to Fallout: Equestria, so you don't have to worry about anything like that. Actually, now that I think about it, I'll leave it to you guys. After I finish writing the bonus chapter, would you like for me to release it early or wait until I actually complete the fic to post it. It's your call, and despite my credo of "If people hate you, then they can just fuck off," I don't really want to displease those that read this fic and hope for it to be as good or better than it holds up to be.
