A slightly more upbeat post! · 10:36pm Oct 10th, 2014
So the site got a face lift while I was trudging through assignment work.
I….am cautiously optimistic about it.
The site certainly looks better, there’s no doubt about that, but I also feel that the old way of doing things was fine. It was simple but it worked.
You know, if it ain’t broke don’t fix kind of thing. Though I must admit the whole idea of bookshelves interests I and finally I have someplace I can put stores that I like, but don’t necessarily love enough to favourite. Also I can finally sort out my favourites individually without having them just pile up and sit there. That’s a nice touch.
What I don’t like is the removal of the view counter and the weird font used. I don’t know but it just looks off to me. Removing the view counter is a bummer because I do like to know generally how much views in total I’m getting. But that’s just a minor thing.
In other news, I’ve seen Rainbow Rocks or at least most of it. I…I’ll leave it to a later blog post. I need to qualify my feelings for it at the moment, though the least I can say is that it is a hearty improvement of the rather shambolic Equestria Girls.
In terms of writing, I have a story in the works, my grammar system is a piece of garbage that keeps corrupting my files and the work I’ve been given is eating into my evenings. Nonetheless, I hope to be a bit more active in next few weeks as I finally settle into a less hectic routine.
Things are looking up sort of....
