    Yeah, Hiatus Time. Sorry.

School is taking up a lot of my time. It is not the only thing doing so. I've gotta be honest with myself, and put my stories on hiatus for a while. Who knows, I might write a little for spring break, or maybe not 'til summer. I don't know yet. Please note that I have taken the time to actually switch them to "On Hiatus", so you can be sure that I will be back.

    I did it! Woohoo!

New chapter is up! And just in time; classes start tomorrow morning. It remains to be seen just how much time I will have with schoolwork to do.

I Post it, I Post it Not...

Picking the petals off to randomize the decision...

I just finished a chapter of GTJD, and...I don't know. I should probably have someone look over it for errors and stuff, but it's been so long, I really want to post an update...

    Fuck it.

    NaNoWriMo!

So, it's less than a month until the craziness and epicness that is NaNoWriMo. NaNoWriMo! · 4:49pm Oct 10th, 2014

So, it's less than a month until the craziness and epicness that is NaNoWriMo. I'm really pumped for this year, as I only found out about the event on November 1st of last year, far too late to start preparing. I've got a novel idea in my head, and it's been there for close to two years now. I'm really excited to get it written down. As I will be trying to write 50,000 words in a mere month, I will not have time to work on anything I'm doing here. Sorry, but...hey, I updated Space, right? And I'm working on Desert, it'll be up in just a couple of days. Anyway, I will be putting them on a bit of a hiatus while I NaNo. Good news is that I'll be finding ways to churn out those words faster than I ever have, which means that I will come back from the challenge a much better, and faster, writer. Assuming I'm not completely burned out by December, I should have both stories finished by next year!

So, yeah, thanks for being patient with me; I will not disappoint anymore!

After next month.

On an unrelated note, does anyone play the Dresden Files roleplaying game? A friend of mine just picked up the book, and it sounds awesome. I guess this should be a follow-up question to: does anyone read the Dresden Files books?

NaNoWriMo... I remember doing that last year. I am very glad I did it, but I don't think I'll do it again any time soon. Good luck on it. The trick is to stay ahead of the game, or you'll be swamped before long. I did 2000 words a day solidly for the first half of the month, then I procrastinated a bit, and by the end I had to write over 8000 words on the last two days... I spent a month or two recovering and editing the work.

In any case, good luck. I'll be just writing 500 a day hopefully. (That's far more manageable)

Heheh. Thank you. I'll need all the luck I can get. And I am aware that it's gonna suck at times. I can't wait! I am so damn excited!

I played the Dresden Files RPG for a couple of months. Have read all the books as well. The game is pretty cool if you like that sort of thing. The RPG books themselves are some of the best I've ever seen. Be sure to read all the little margin notes. If you have the second book be sure to marvel how they gave stats to every single character in the Dresden Files world. They even statted up the smuggler guy in the Halloween story. The guy we only ever see as a dead body.

Heh, yeah, I read through the first book. The margin notes are hilarious! I actually need to finish the book series before we really get going, anyway. And we've still gotta get the second book. And get everyone on the same page with the FateCore system. It's gonna be a while.

The second book isn't needed for playing. I don't think we ever cracked it open during our games. Can't comment on how much the GM used it to prepare for sessions. The full Fate system is okay. I prefer Fate Accelerated Edition myself. Good luck getting things running.
