So, year seven… and some months.

I waited until I'd gotten around to watch the final episodes before thinking about this Yearly Blog Post™ of mine. Then I wrote something in a Google Doc, and never got around to fleshing it out, nor posting. Oh well.

In case that you haven't watched the finale, don’t worry; this blog contains no spoilers, just a vague opinion of mine.

    Yearly blog: Six

    Aaand six.

I missed the date with a few days, dammit.
Regardless, sixth year of pony. Gotta' keep the tradition up!

To be honest, I don't have that much to write this year. I guess I've been falling out a bit; I've not even finished the last season of the show yet.
But, I still visit this site, as well as a few others, daily.

Two years, wow, where did the time go? · 6:02pm Oct 9th, 2014

Hey there!
Today should be my second year among pony, if my note is correct.

What to say about the past year then?
General life
Early this year, I realized that what I picked as the equivalent to college, wasn't a that good choice, but that my best move is probably trying to tough the last two years out, so it'll be done. I guess I hit a bit of a funk at the start of this year, as we were more or less told that we're placed in a project-group to be the worthless ones.
There's a bit more to it, but I'm trying not to rant.

Anyway. Pony!

Found a missing author
Earlier this year I got a message from Sapidus3. He had been gone for almost two years; he disappeared from the Internet just a short while before I joined this site. I, and some others, were on and off lurking the Internet, looking for him; if he was all right. After almost a year, I got a reply, that he was shocked people were that worried. And a bit later, he returned, and decided to try completing Equestria's Twilight, one of the earlier fics I read, and among the great ones overall. It was the top rated tragedy for a good while.

Activity
Except for that, my activity here has declined noticeably. Now I rarely read something that isn't a shorter one-shot, and if it's longer, I wait until it reaches completion. I guess my drive to read isn't what it once was, heh. Then again, if I start reading something great, I have a hard time putting it away, so it goes both ways.
I'm still hanging around this site though, checking my feed and if any stories I follow have updated.
Though, we're in a hiatus-drough. I guess pony-interest generally wavers a bit down at this time.

Writing
I mentioned last time that I'd maybe try writing something myself, but, well, the inspiration didn't hit. I tried to do some writing again, just to see how well I could set up a scene. So this blurb happened. As last time, I wasn't aiming for any story highpoint; just to see how I did. And, well, not having written fiction since elementary school, 8 years back, pretty much, I guess it's something. :twilightblush:

So yeah. Huh, this sounded down at parts, have some awesome random picked art:

Heh, it doesn't matter if it's fics, videos, music, games, comics, art or whatever. This community truly can pump out great stuff.
I will stick around for a while, no doubt. I might not be active as much, but I'll be around.
So see ya' all around, as well!

Huh...
Maybe I should also do this retrospective kinda thingy sometime. Completely missed my own two year mark here, so it would have to wait a bit, but it does sound interesting.

Well, as far as I can judge, it's quite good actually. There were a few english errors I could spot, but I'm really not the one who should point those out...

The fun part is that you have no goal at all, but the whole scene feels extremely cheerful.

she’d ended up outside her door, saddleback strapped on. And what a day it was!

The whole scene seems to work that way. You begin with a very positive thing, then you explain and when it becomes sort of slow paced, it bounces on and explodes in cheers.

I don't know, it's just great to read something where the author just seems to want to have fun whatever the circumstances. (I know, there are stories like that on the site, but also how many depressing stories?)

This community truly can pump out great stuff.

And now, let's explore the reasons why this community achieves that where other do... less. Or differently.
Mmmmh... no, let's just enjoy.

Anyway. Pony!

Yay ponies :yay:.

2520992 Heh, well, you have monthly blogs, that's a bit more detailed retrospective, if anything.

Dangit. Heh, the idea was to continue it a bit more before I ever linked to it, and, well, give it a read-through. But, that didn't happen. :facehoof:
I decided to post it in here anyway, for the heck of it.

Thanks for the kind words!
