Graverobbing: A Look At Dead/Hibernating Fics

Pawing through the latter half of my favourites led me to write this blog to showcase some stories that are either abandoned or on "Extended Hiatus". These are stories that I really miss and get all nostalgia-ey about the first times I read them. Please note I haven't read most of these in a very long time so my reviews of them will probably be wonky at best.

    Season 5 Ep 3 Review

The writers seem to be trying so so so hard to get us to think the castle looks aesthetically pleasing, going so far as to make Rarity mention that "fact" two episodes in a row and have her friends back her up on that. In reality it looks like a Crystal Empire Playset ripoff that spits all over the aesthetic of the town whenever it's in shot. Hopefully it will be in shot by the bare

    Changes to the Story

I've been mulling over this for quite some time now and I've decided on a big change for the story:

The character of Orion will be replaced by Flash Sentry.

    Clarification

In the previous blog post I told of how I deleted the story I had just put up. People seem to think it was meant to be permanent. It wasn't.

The United Kingdom Remains United! · 5:30am Sep 19th, 2014

You have no idea how happy this makes me. I'm extremely glad my fellow countrymen in Scotland decided to remain my countrymen. Hopefully the issue will be settled for some time (rather than the so-called neverendum of Quebec and Canada fame). Hopefully it'll lead to true federalism in the UK, of which I am a big supporter. I speak to you after an initially intense and nervous night which got steadily less intense after more and more council areas in Scotland voted predominantly No. The democratic will of Scotland has been heard as never before (overall voter turnout of 84%) and it is for the greater union rather than the smaller nation. Truly, I think, we will be Better Together.

Be Britain still to Britain true,
Amang ourselves united;
For never but by British hands
Maun British wrangs be righted!

Besides, imagine just how much reorganization would need to happen:
First, you would need to rename yourselves. No point on calling yourself 'brits' if a third of the island is gone. The world would likely revert to calling you 'English', which would piss off the Welsh, which wouldn't take it for long before they secede too and England returns to the world arena (in something other than soccer).
And what would follow? The Insular Federation of Shetland, Faroe and Man? Would Saint Pierre and Miquelon declare independence from France? Would Liechenstein depose John Adam II and declare Republic?

This is indeed a relief. A 'yes' vote would have meant - at least in the short term - Discord levels of chaos (but without the chocolate milk).

In my sleep-deprived state I misread that as "magic kingdom". I think that's what salmond was trying to establish in the north...

I'm disappointed with the result personally. I really don't like how the government has been organised for so long, with Westminister focusing on London and England over Scotland and the rest of the UK. I feel like their should have been the option to vote for Maximum Devolution during this vote. Still we're at least getting more control up here in Scotland, and that's a pretty good second place prize.

I remain cautiously optimistic about our country's future. There are problems with Federalism, but hopefully we can work around them, or prevent the problems from cropping up in the first place.

I heard that it was a win-win for the Scottish. The British government resolved to solve almost all of the problems that caused the Scottish to start this whole debacle in the first place.

Federialism bad, regionalism good :rainbowwild:

Also, whoot, should mean wales will be getting more powers~

2466589 See, that's great and all, but while we've been promised action and change the end result has either been something other than what we were guaranteed or we didn't get what we were owed at all.
Now don't get me wrong, I voted yes because I belive as a Scot my vote and actions aren't going to have much of an affect on the political level (See ye old Scotland voting populace vs English voting populace argument) but I am more than willing to say "Fair enough," to the vote result being a "No." since that's what the Scottish people haven choosen.

If you think that the US of A is anywhere near a Centralist Republic, then you simply don't understand the term. If the States get any more autonomy, they might as well start building border fences!

Plenty of things would benefit greatly by having central overview, or plainly just being decided centrally, starting by educational standards. Or haven't you noticed that Silicon Valley is starting to look like a Little India, due to companies needing to hire from countries were schools actually teach?

2466852 Well, I live in Canada so I didn't pay too much attention to all the debates.

As a Dutch 'Yes' supporter: Good on you.

2466988 Go Canada! I don't pay much attention to the debates either.

well the UK government better fix itself it barely won that. Next time might not be so lucky. Many governments are just not listening to the people and we are getting tired of it.

Good day sir I'm terribly sorry but your flag is incorrect! :twilightblush:
