A Christian nerd; probably the only guy you ever met who wanted the Larrymobile to be transformed by the All-Spark. My brother, The Traveler12, is NOT the lamest person you've ever met. Check him out!

This is Just a Theory, but could the Punisher be Entering the Marvel Cinematic Universe? · 3:53am Sep 15th, 2014

I'll say it's POSSIBLE. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I like Frank Castle I just like him in small doses. I'll check out a MAX series with him every now and again or get a trade of his newest series sometimes if I hear good things.

To me The Punisher works better in his OWN universe in a lot of instances. I am not saying he doesn't have a PLACE in the Marvel Universe because I DO like it when he has to deal with actual superheroes like Daredevil or Spider-Man because he does have a good dynamic with them. You've got Matt Murdock who does kill but only in certain situations that warrant it, and you've for Peter Parker who won't kill PERIOD if he can help it. It's those varying levels of extremes that I find interesting to see.

I'd like it Frank was just kept to the small screen like on Netflix with Daredevil and the rest of the rest of the street level heroes because of that.

Well...

If that's the actual case...that would be cool

2456168 Well, a) I do agree that a small-screen Punisher would be interesting to see, since none of his big-screen outings have been entirely successful.
As for b), I'd argue almost any character works best in their own world. We put them in a shared universe anyway because the interrelations are too interesting to pass up, but the visions of Superman as Earth's greatest hero, Batman as the only man who could clean up Gotham, the X-Men as a hated minority, etc, all work best if you don't have other franchises confusing the issue.
That's partly why I've always been interested in superhero timelines. It's a lot easier to make individual characters shine if you don't have them all hanging out at the same time. Characters whose prime was in the past would exist in a different decade so they wouldn't get out-shined by more timeless characters, or by the characters who are currently doing well but might not necessarily be interesting for very long.

2456185 What's particularly interesting about it is that it implies that his career's already going on, that's he older than the current wave of heroes.

I think it's someone else they're talking about.

U.S. Archer (he's a trucker superhero)

2456218 I would like to see that costume the Punisher is wearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

2456222 I highly doubt we're ever going to see him in a movie. And personally, if we ever see a trucker superhero, I'd rather see Razorback.

2456232 What, you mean his original costume?

2456264 So that's what he looks like I couldn't find a picture of him also isn't he from Spider-Man?

2456266 Yes with the white boots and very thing.

2456271 That would be an interesting change of pace. While I tend to prefer more grounded costume designs myself, that would definitely make it distinct from any live-action Punisher that came before.

2456327 ....maybe as alternate costumes. I've never been a fan of yellow-and-red Daredevil.

2456363 I think it would be funny if he started in that costume then they should have someone tell how he looks.

2456410 Have you seen the new blog I posted at 12:52 yet?

It seems kind of obvious, though. From the vague way he was talking I respect 9t to be some ones who is more of a lethal joke character.

2458116 Always a possibility. But you know internet fans; give them an inch, and they'll take a mile. I'm not positive it is the Punisher, but it felt like a theory people might want to at least hear.
