9/11/01. I have no idea what time we were attacked on a peaceful day, but we were. 9/11. A day that will be remembered. It was a day we lost so many innocent lives. But the towers (for those of you who don't know) and the Pentagon weren't the designated targets. It was the White House. But the terrorists changed targets and hit those towers. Many lives were lost that day 13 years ago. Then on May 1st, 2011 (it was actually first, my dad's b-day is on May 2, we were celebrating on the 1st. That's when we found out he was dead.) We heard the news and started calling everyone we knew to tell them that freedom has been restored and justice has been served. But on this day, we honor those who have fallen and those innocent people on the planes who were victims in the building. To those of you in America mostly, or anywhere else, please do me this favor: Stay safe today. Americans like me sometimes worry that another attack will happen on this day, but here's a warning to you all:Don't mess with America. Because justice will soon knock and you won't know what hit you. Heed my warning, for it is one that I promise, will come true.
Our marching show this year is called: "Honor, We Will Remember." and we have a bunch of different American-known songs in. Today, we (The marching band) were playing through part 3 of our show, and to put a picture in your heads, we had just finished "the battle portion" of it, and we start playing the song to remember those that have fallen. After we finished playing through, I had many feels. But then I heard our school put out a ton of little American flags into the ground to honor those. I can't even begin to describe how I felt.
