In one hour alone 8 clop fics were published today.
Am I really the only one who can see past the generic shield of all this porn? I just don't get it! Before long, this site is gonna collapse under its foreboding mountains of cliché horse tits and dicks. So many copy-paste fics that contain nothing more than the same simplistic style of writing (not all of them, but most).
Though clop is my least favorite fanfiction genre, I'm not trying to hate on all you cloppers out there. Hell, I got two friends who admitted they clop themselves. It just annoys me how a site once filled with such untapped potential has been reduced to this trash yard of unoriginality.

What did you expect exactly from a site populated primarily by emotionally stunted man-babies and basement dwellers? I'm just glad they don't post that garbage on the front page. It could always be worse.
It's the inevitable fate of all fandoms. Eventually the brightest minds and talented people succumb to the clop virus.

Change the terms "brightest" and "most talented" to "saddest" and "most dead inside", and you'll be right.
I don't really mind the clop IF it contributes to the story and actually explains later events in the story in one way or another. an example of this would be if a couple gets a baby. (Pretty obvious what happened but i like a story that's explained in detail ^^). Now, I like a bit of romance in a story from time to time as long as it isn't JUST romance (Variety is the spice of life after all, and what makes a good story if you ask me.) However if it's Just pointless clop from beginning to end i don't tend to read it. That being said.
2442587 Some of the stories i have read have been plain amazing, most of them were bad, others were good but some are in my top 5 list and those i highly recommend. I will admit though that some stories i have read on here wasn't planned out at all and didn't really do it for me :( so i'd say you were partially right with that comment, however some authors deserve credit for a story well done :) that's just my opinion though
There are 3533 stories in the clopfics group as I write this. There may be more when I finish. I wonder what would happen if we made a group dedicated to stories that aren't clop. Would we even get to half that number?

Ah. I see your point. Statement redacted. I turned off the filter, and my eyes were assailed by a veritable supernova of whimsical, horsey smut stories. Thankfully, I had an ample amount of Xanax and alcohol on hand to hammer the images out my besieged mind.
That is why I turn on my mature filter.
I'm just thankful that you aren't allowed to have an NSFW picture as a cover, or anything, really.
Let's hope that that rule won't change.
If it makes you feel better I am not a fan of Clop fics either.
